As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping prospective customers understand how our solutions solve business challenges and deliver measurable value. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to drive pipeline growth, support technical evaluations, and ensure successful customer adoption from initial discovery through onboarding and implementation.

This role is ideal for a consultative technical professional who enjoys engaging with customers, demonstrating technology, solving business problems, and influencing successful sales outcomes.


What You'll Do

Sales & Technical Partnership

  • Partner with Sales teams to support customer engagements and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Present compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Execute proof-of-concept (POC) engagements that showcase business value and technical capabilities.
  • Assist with customer evaluations and technical assessments throughout the sales process.

Solution Design & Customer Engagement

  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend solutions that maximize business outcomes.
  • Represent both the technical and functional aspects of our products and services.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses that demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to position technology for both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping organizations adopt and optimize our solutions.

Technical Expertise & Enablement

  • Prepare and contribute to technical RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Deliver technical training and product knowledge sessions to customers and internal teams.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain expertise in emerging technologies, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Support cross-functional teams through coaching, product guidance, and technical consultation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Pursue ongoing professional development and technical training.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  • Mentor and support other team members as needed.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
  • Proven success supporting sales organizations and influencing technical buying decisions.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience translating technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience using CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions.
  • Experience with business process or management applications.
  • Consulting or professional services background.
  • Experience supporting or selling through channel ecosystems such as MSPs, VARs, TSPs, OEMs, or internal IT organizations.

  • Remote, hybrid, or onsite based on location.
  • Up to 20–30% travel may be required.
  • Occasional flexibility outside standard business hours for customer meetings, conferences, events, or critical sales opportunities.
