Position Overview:  

As a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our technology organization as we enter our next phase of growth. This role combines strategic leadershiphands-on technical guidance, and people management to deliver high-quality software at scale.

You will lead multiple engineering teams, working closely with product, design, and architecture to build and evolve our SaaS platform. Your focus will be on ensuring technical excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving alignment between engineering execution and business objectives.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-stage environments, has a passion for building scalable systems and empowered teams, and can balance short-term delivery with long-term architecture and organizational strategy.

Sr. Manager, Software Engineering

     Position Location:              Atlanta, GA   

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Act as a player-coach, willing to jump in and be hands-on when needed. The primary focus will be mentoring and leading a team of software engineers, driving industry best practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level software solutions using .NET, C#, Microservices architecture, and MS SQL.
  • Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect to design the next generation of Connexure’s flagship platform, leveraging technologies such as React and .NET Core.
  • Drive a high-performance Engineering culture, embracing Agile/Lean practices, DORA “Fast Flow” principles, and short feedback loops.
  • Oversee project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions while aligning with Connexure’s business goals.
  • Drive technical decision-making, adopt best practices, and ensure the scalability and maintainability of applications.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required; Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development, with expertise in .NET, C#, Microservices, and MS SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a software development team.
  • 3+ years of professional experience with modern Front-End frameworks such as React, Angular, or Next.js.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software design principles, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable systems
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with effective team leadership.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead a high-performing team.

Work Environment:  

Hybrid model, Tuesday-Thursday is in-office (standard business hours), while Monday and Friday are remote days. Must have reliable Internet connection and familiarity with digital collaboration tools.
