Senior Manager, Organic Social

Boston

At Constant Contact, we are seriously awesome people who take ownership and make an impact by operating with the mindset, integrity and courage of a small business owner. There’s something so profoundly rewarding about knowing that your work is empowering people everywhere to pursue their dreams.  Here, we all play an integral part in helping business owners, entrepreneurs, non-profits and individuals to succeed by giving them all the help and tools they need to grow online. We’re energized by new challenges and new possibilities-and we’re just getting started!

THE OPPORTUNITY

Constant Contact is looking for a Senior Manager, Organic Social to own our brand's presence across earned and organic channels — and to do it with an AI-first mindset, speed, and strategic clarity.

This is not a content calendar role. This is a platform-intelligence role. You will drive Constant Contact’s visibility where it matters most: in AI-generated search results (AEO/GEO), on LinkedIn where our brand credibility lives, on Reddit where authentic conversations shape purchase decisions, and across channels like Instagram and YouTube where brand awareness compounds over time.

You’ll sit within a high-performing Corporate Communications team that is actively redefining what “earned” means in the age of AI. If you understand why first-party content is the new SEO, why Reddit threads surface in Gemini, and why a great LinkedIn post can outperform a paid campaign — we want to talk.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Platform Strategy & Execution

  • Own the organic social strategy across LinkedIn, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms — each with a distinct channel strategy, not one approach applied everywhere
  • Lead LinkedIn strategy as our highest-priority brand equity channel — executive thought leadership, company content, and employee amplification programs
  • Own Reddit strategy end-to-end: community monitoring, AMAs, subreddit engagement, and brand participation that earns trust rather than selling
  • Build and manage an Instagram presence optimized for brand awareness, community growth, and content that reinforces our voice across platforms

AEO / GEO — Answer Engine & Generative Engine Optimization

  • Develop and execute a content strategy designed to appear in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini)
  • Structure social and owned content to be crawlable, citable, and “quotable” by large language models
  • Partner with SEO, content, and PR teammates to ensure CTCT’s owned narrative competes with affiliate and review site content in AI-generated SERPs
  • Track AEO landscape changes and brief leadership on pivots needed — this space is moving fast and you’ll be our early warning system

YouTube Strategy

  • Own YouTube as a strategic channel — not a video dump, but a deliberate content destination that builds brand authority and feeds AI-generated search results
  • Develop a content architecture for YouTube that serves multiple jobs: how-to content for SMB audiences, thought leadership for brand credibility, and longer-form storytelling that supports executive visibility
  • Understand and exploit YouTube’s unique AEO/GEO advantage — YouTube is the most-cited video source in AI-generated answers, and you’ll treat that as a strategic priority, not a side benefit
  • Optimize every upload for AI indexability: titles, descriptions, chapters, transcripts, and structured metadata that make content crawlable and citable
  • Partner with internal content, product marketing, and executive communications teams to build a pipeline of high-value video content — and ruthlessly repurpose it across channels
  • Track YouTube search performance separately from social vanity metrics; connect channel growth to organic search visibility and AI answer inclusion

AI-Native Content Production

  • Use AI tools fluently (not occasionally) to increase content velocity, ideation speed, and testing throughput
  • Build workflows that let a lean team punch above its weight class — templated AI prompts, repurposing frameworks, and rapid-response playbooks
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes by using AI-assisted listening and trend detection

Community & Advocacy

  • Partner with the Community team to activate brand advocates (E.L.I.T.E.s, Champions, power users) as social amplifiers
  • Develop influencer and partner social programs that extend organic reach without paid media reliance
  • Build and nurture a brand voice that feels human, credible, and distinct across every platform

People Management

  • Manage, develop, and retain one direct report (Social Media Manager) — setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and investing in their growth
  • Amplify your direct report’s output by coaching them on AI tool fluency, platform strategy, and content quality — your leverage as a manager is raising their ceiling, not doing their work
  • Model the AI-native, high-velocity working style you expect from the team

Measurement & Agility

  • Own the organic social scorecard: Share of Voice, engagement rates, follower growth, new customer growth, site traffic, and AI answer inclusion metrics
  • Run fast experiments, read results quickly, and reallocate effort without waiting for quarterly reviews
  • Bring a point of view to leadership on what’s working, what’s dying, and what’s next

WHAT YOU BRING

Non-Negotiables

  • 5-8+ years of organic social media experience, with demonstrated results in B2B, B2C, SMB, or martech contexts
  • 2-4+ years of people management experience — you know how to develop someone, not just direct them
  • Deep, hands-on fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Jasper, or equivalent) — not “I’ve used it” but “It’s how I work”
  • Genuine understanding of AEO/GEO principles and how social content influences AI-generated answers
  • Proven LinkedIn expertise — you’ve grown accounts, built executive presence, or run programs that drove meaningful engagement
  • Reddit literacy — you understand subreddit culture, the difference between participating and advertising, and why authenticity is the only strategy that works there
  • Comfort operating with speed and ambiguity — this is a fast-moving team in a fast-moving space

Strong Differentiators

  • Experience with Sprout Social, Meltwater, or comparable social listening and publishing platforms
  • Background in or strong familiarity with SMB marketing, email marketing, or marketing technology categories
  • Experience activating customer communities as social amplifiers
  • YouTube content strategy experience, including channel architecture, video SEO, and how YouTube surfaces in AI-assisted search — this is a priority channel, not a nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with review ecosystem influence (G2, Trustpilot, Google) and how reviews feed into AI trust signals

HOW SUCCESS IS DEFINED

In your first 30 days:

  • You’ve audited our current organic social presence and produced a prioritized platform strategy with a clear POV on where to win
  • You’ve mapped our AEO/GEO gaps and proposed a content roadmap to close them
  • You’ve established your cadence and workflow, with AI tools embedded from day one

By end of year one:

  • LinkedIn engagement is measurably up; the brand’s executive voices are active and consistent
  • Reddit presence is established and trusted — we’re participating in conversations, not crashing them
  • YouTube is functioning as a real content channel: consistent publishing cadence, growing search visibility, and content structured to appear in AI-generated answers
  • CTCT content is appearing in AI-generated answers at a meaningfully higher rate than our baseline
  • You’ve built a repeatable, AI-enabled content engine that scales without proportional headcount growth
