About the Team
Constellation Schools are seeking an In-School Intervention (ISI) Monitor that plays a crucial role in maintaining a productive and disciplined school environment.
The In-School Intervention Monitor is responsible for supervising and supporting students who have been assigned to in-school Intervention. The role involves ensuring that students complete their assignments, adhere to school rules, and receive appropriate behavioral support to help them improve and reintegrate into the regular classroom setting.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities of the In-School Intervention Monitor include:
Supervision:
- Monitor students assigned to in-school Intervention to ensure they adhere to behavioral expectations and complete their assignments.
- Maintain a controlled and productive environment in the ISI room.
Instruction and Support:
- Assist students with their academic work, providing clarification and support as needed.
- Facilitate communication between students and teachers to ensure that assignments are clear and accessible.
Behavior Management:
- Implement and enforce school policies related to behavior and discipline.
- Address any behavioral issues that arise in a constructive and professional manner.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments completed, and behavior incidents.
- Prepare reports for school administrators regarding student progress and behavior.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement strategies for student improvement.
- Participate in meetings to discuss student behavior and progress.
Student Interaction:
- Provide guidance and support to help students understand and correct their behavior.
- Encourage students to reflect on their actions and make positive changes.
About You:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with students in a school setting or similar environment is preferred.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using basic computer software and educational tools.
- Certifications:
- Ohio teaching license or certification required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
Work Environment:
- School environment with a moderate level of noise and activity.
- May involve occasional exposure to challenging behavior from students.
