Installer
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Fireplace Installer provides professional in-home and pre-settlement installation of fireplaces, performing all duties with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Essential Functions
- Installs fireplaces and components, addresses installation issues to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer’s specifications (including and not limited to ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure) before leaving the install location.
- Uses diagnostic tools such as manometer and multi-meter to obtain readings on gas pressure and voltages
- Initiates gas startups and performs homeowner orientations to ensure proper operation
- Possesses full knowledge of after-market product line and utilizes consultative sales techniques to sell after-market service products and accessories to help the customer get the most out of their fireplace
- Reads manuals and conducts hands on study of products to learn and maintain knowledge level
- Communicates effectively with customers to provide needed information with a high degree of professionalism
- Maintains effective communication with sales staff and service department to ensure that the service call is completed and meets quality standards
- Performs installation Preview / Post view process as needed
- Attends and successfully completes all company provided training
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as requested by office manager
Competencies/Skills/Abilities
- Proven mechanical aptitude
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; must be able to interact effectively with all types of people inside and outside of the Company
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- HHT Gas Certification and NFI Certification preferred; required with-in 1 year of hire
- Clean driving record/background required
