Appliance Showroom Manager
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Appliance Showroom Manager is responsible for developing and leading a high-performing sales team while overseeing the daily operations of the showroom. This role prioritizes coaching, mentoring, and training the team to enhance their skills and drive overall sales performance. The Showroom Manager will focus on staff development, vendor relationships, SKU rationalization, and ensuring the showroom floor has the most up-to-date and applicable products for the market. Additionally, they will analyze sales performance and make strategic recommendations to increase sales and margins. This role will also represent the company at industry events, including NKBA, NARI, and other HBA functions, while managing showroom hours effectively.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team with a strong emphasis on professional development and performance growth.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance team effectiveness and drive sales revenue.

Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the showroom carries the most relevant and competitive product offerings.

Oversee SKU rationalization to optimize product assortment and ensure alignment with market demands.

Analyze sales performance data and make recommendations to improve sales and profit margins.

Ensure smooth showroom operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Manage showroom assets, including inventory and receivables, to optimize financial performance.

Conduct regular product training sessions to ensure team members have in-depth knowledge of appliance offerings.

Provide continuous feedback and one-on-one coaching to improve sales techniques and customer engagement skills.

Ensure showroom cleanliness and overall maintenance of displays by delegating responsibilities effectively.

Plan, organize, and oversee industry-related events such as NKBA and NARI to provide networking opportunities for the team.

Facilitate a positive, goal-driven work environment.

Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional growth within the sales team.

Schedule and facilitate regular coaching sessions to improve team performance and engagement.

Oversee order processing and collaboration with production teams regarding order fulfillment, delivery, and installation.

Conduct performance evaluations and set measurable goals to track team success and improvement.

Assist with collections as necessary to support the financial health of the business.

Work closely with the service manager to enhance internal operations and customer service processes.

Ensure we deliver on the highest level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in showroom or retail management, preferably in the appliance industry.

Strong leadership and team development skills with a primary focus on coaching and mentorship.

Excellent communication abilities with a talent for motivating and inspiring a sales team.

Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies for team improvement, increased sales, and margin growth.

Experience in vendor management and SKU rationalization to optimize product offerings.

Proficiency in training methods, performance evaluation, and professional development techniques.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
