SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
This position is responsible for creating accurate templates to fabricate and install glass.
Essential Functions
- Will be responsible for building templates in accordance with job specifications and department procedures
- Will be responsible for loading and unloading template materials and tools for daily scheduled work
- Responsible for reading and deciphering Architectural drawings and technical documents related to fixtures and build requirements
- Effectively operate laser template equipment and the handling of file transfer to the system
- Communicate effectively with Order Control, sales representative, shop personnel and clients relating to specific template requirements and schedule.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of templating equipment and tools on a regular basis
- Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe work environment
Competencies/Skills/Abilities
- 5-year minimum industry experience with 2 years as a templater in a glass surface business.
- GED or High school diploma required
- Ability to multi-task and working within specified timeframes
- Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
- Current Forklift certification required
- Ability to problem-solve a plus
- Previous work experience in the industry a plus
