Project Manager, Field Operations
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Field Project Manager oversees on-site operations for residential multi-unit projects, focusing on the delivery and installation of kitchen cabinets, vanities, and countertops. This role ensures project milestones are met, budgets are maintained, and installations pass all required inspections. The manager acts as a liaison between subcontractors and internal teams, providing leadership and daily reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with production and logistics to maintain installation schedules.
- Verify material deliveries for accuracy in size and quantity.
- Collaborate with site Superintendent to manage delivery logistics and laydown areas.
- Ensure proper storage and protection of materials on-site.
- Supervise daily installation activities for compliance with shop drawings, schedules, budgets, and building codes.
- Maintain inventory and secure tools daily.
- Conduct walkthroughs with subcontractors to validate work before invoice approval.
- Track and close out punch list items from both GC and Owner.
- Lead daily safety meetings and enforce PPE compliance.
- Report and document any injuries using NSW Incident Reports.
- Safeguard rental equipment (e.g., bobcat, forklift).
- Participate in subcontractor meetings to communicate progress.
- Monitor labor and material needs to ensure project efficiency.
- Complete all required reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid state-issued Driver’s License.
- 1–2 years of experience in construction, preferably multi-unit projects.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- High energy and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and trustworthy with minimal supervision.
Work Environment
Operates across corporate, construction, and off-site facilities.
This is a remote position, with approximately 95% of the time spent traveling between various jobsites throughout the greater South Florida area.
Physical Demands
- Regular speaking and hearing required.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and manual handling.
- Must lift/move up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 35–40 lbs occasionally.
- Requires close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
