Title: Vice President of Data Evaluation
Location: New York, NY. Consumer Edge Insight, LLC offers exclusive alternative data products engineered for insight-generation to answer questions about consumer behavior. Job responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment; Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and department heads to understand their data needs and provide insights to support decision-making; Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data initiatives and the impact on business performance; Project Oversight: Manage data evaluation projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals; Compliance: Ensure all data practices comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA; Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate data insights and trends to stakeholders; Training and Support: Provide training and support to other departments on data-related topics to enhance their analytical capabilities; Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve data processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness; Feedback Loop: Establish feedback mechanisms to gather input from stakeholders and refine data initiatives based on their needs; Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external data vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the Company’s standards and requirements; Industry Engagement: Represent the Company at industry events, conferences, and forums to share knowledge and stay connected with the broader data community. Minimum Education/Experience Req: Master’s degree in Computational Science and Engineering; Material Science and Engineering; or a closely related field; or the foreign academic equivalent OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Science and Engineering; Material Science and Engineering; or a closely related field; or the foreign academic equivalent; candidate must also have at least 3 years of experience working with alternative financial data including financial transactional data, foot traffic data, purchase receipt data to transform computational statistical analysis of these datasets into actionable business insights; 3 years of experience writing software code in SQL, Python, Pyspark; 3 years of experience creating timeseries forecasting (statistical/data mining/machine learning) models and back testing frameworks in Python; 3 years of experience managing external stakeholder and/or vendor relationships.
