The Overview

Backed by decades of experience testing products, guiding consumers to the best choices, and championing marketplace change, Consumer Reports has significantly expanded its offerings in the baby space. Known for its pioneering car-seat crash testing that drove life-saving safety standards in the U.S. and groundbreaking investigations that have taken dangerous children’s products off the market, we now provide ratings and reviews on more than 35 categories of baby products in addition to expert tips for parents to help simplify their daily decisions.

As a writer on the team, you'll report to the Director, Baby Content Development.  You'll work hand-in-hand with our product testers, social media, video, and survey teams, and shopping and newsletter editors to conceive and execute a range of Baby content across multiple platforms. Our writers/reporters stay on top of the latest news and products and regularly collaborate with their counterparts in testing, so they can generate smart, relevant, and cutting-edge coverage.

If you believe that consumers are entitled to a fair marketplace—along with unbiased product reviews, independent news articles and investigative reports—come join the team!

Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of our Yonkers, NY location. This position is not eligible for Sponsorship (TN, L1, etc.)

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
