Staff Software Engineer - Software Testing

Your impact

  • Lead by Example: Be active within your team and the company - participate in meetings; volunteer to lead initiatives; escalate questions or issues when necessary.
  • Design and lead the test automation strategy.
  • Drive the creation of an end to end acceptance testing suite
  • Design, write and implement integration, component and UI tests.
  • Working with software engineers to design systems for testability.
  • Owning the evolution of the test automation strategy.

About you

  • 6+ years of testing experience in a software domain
  • Prove track record with driving test automation strategies in a growth based environment.
  • Strong experience with leading the creation of automation software and strategy
  • Well developed ability  to mentor team members in test automation best practices.
  • Experience testing a cloud-hosted SaaS application
  • Experience with tools such as  Selenium, Cucumber, RSpec and other automation tools that will accelerate our release cycles.
  • Ability to write clear, concise documentation
  • Experience with developing AP test frameworks.

How you can stand out 

  • Experience in coding in at least one modern web develop language/framework such as Ruby on Rails or Python/Django
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Experience Designing and building JSON or REST services, AWS APIs, Docker.
  • As a practice, you maintain awareness of QA/automation industry practices and ensure the team is aware and educated.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies beyond scrum.

Compensation is thoughtfully determined based on your experience, skill set, and alignment with our internal compensation framework and internal equity.

This is a backfill position based out of our downtown Toronto office, at King and Spadina.
