What This Position Entails

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Driver/Yard Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of shipping containers, primarily within the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a strong understanding of road safety regulations, and a customer-first approach. Hourly Rate - $25/hr

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Back up loaded semi-trailers into loading docks, tight spaces, and customer locations with precision and care.
Safely load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or required repairs promptly.
Interact with customers professionally during delivery and pickup.
Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, vehicle inspection reports, and logs.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company transportation regulations and policies.
Occasionally assist with deliveries at our other Arizona location, which may require an overnight stay (this is not an over-the-road position)
Work on various shop projects as needed, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach.

The Type of Background We’re Searching For

Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in flatbed transportation.
Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools to plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
Competence in maintaining accurate logbooks and records of driving hours, rest periods, and delivery documentation.
Prior forklift and yard work experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
