Senior Demand Generation Manager, Paid Media and Inbound

About the Opportunity

As a Senior Demand Generation Manager, Paid Media and Inbound you will manage initiatives that build pipeline and ladder up to Contentful’s revenue goals and company objectives. Your efforts focus on converting highly interested buyers through inbound campaigns as well as managing top-of-funnel growth and audience expansion through paid media efforts and directly managing external agencies. You will be a part of the Demand Generation function within Contentful’s Marketing team and collaborate closely with other go-to-market campaign owners, Brand Studio, external agencies, Sales, and other functions within Marketing to develop and execute inbound campaigns and awareness efforts through paid media. Your role is critical in getting consistent messages to our targeted audience through our go-to-market strategy.

What to expect? 

  • Develop, execute, analyze, and optimize inbound campaigns that are designed to capture interest and accelerate the buying process; including but not limited to: showcase products through demos, use cases, and content meant to drive pipeline.
  • Develop, execute, analyze, and optimize paid media plans that support brand campaigns and integrated campaigns across a variety of channels (including, but not limited to paid search, paid social), focusing on top-of-funnel growth and audience expansion. 
  • Manage external agency to execute paid media plan
  • Implement and optimize inbound campaigns to increase conversion, including partnering with our web team on customer journey on site
  • Build and maintain a roadmap for testing and optimizing ad creative, audience targeting, and budget allocation
  • Collaborate with Sales, PMM, Operations, and Analytics to align on strategies and messaging to capture inbound interest
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand Studio, Content, and external agencies to propose, modify, and align creative and messaging with Contentful’s brand and product offerings
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, making data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI and ensure alignment with broader growth goals
  • Collaborate with and project manage cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget
  • Provide regular reporting of progress, results, and pipeline
  • Review campaign performance, compile lessons learned, and communicate recommendations for improvement to stakeholders
  • Navigate complex workflows, working relationships, and regional differences to be part of a collaborative working environment

What you need to be successful

  • 6+ years B2B digital marketing or paid marketing, SaaS experience preferred
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful inbound demand generation campaigns that have resulted in increased lead generation and revenue growth
  • Proven track record of running paid social and video campaigns for SaaS products, with a focus on audience targeting and top-of-funnel growth, or managing an agency with consistent goals
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, buyer personas, and customer journey mapping
  • Ability to pull and analyze data and make informed decisions for future performance, and share actionable insights to cross-functional teams
  • Experience with paid media tools and platforms, such as DemandBase, DV360, Google, Meta, LinkedIn
  • Experience with programmatic advertising and programmatic display
  • Experience working for a fast-growing B2B software company, where there are multiple go-to-market motions and an emphasis on a sales-led strategy
  • Experience in standing up scalable, global paid media campaigns, including collaboration with: Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Content, Design, Web, Lifecycle, Marketing Ops, Marketing Analytics, Field Marketing, and Sales teams
  • Ability to initiate tasks and work independently, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Salesforce.com

This role will need to be conducted in a state in which we are currently registered to do business. 

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of New York if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

New York Salary Range: $162,000 - $180,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
