SVP, Brand Marketing | New York City

What You’ll Do:

Convene’s SVP of Brand Marketing will drive the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and brand strategies to enhance visibility, drive demand, and further position Convene as a leader in the meetings, events, and workday experience industry. This includes translating company strategy into a brand & marketing strategy, growing and managing the performance of your team, building and scaling a demand and lead generation machine to drive revenue across our entire product and brand portfolio, continuing to develop the group brand strategy and management of a multi-brand portfolio, and  partnering with other members of the executive leadership  team to execute on key strategic growth priorities.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of  the executive team, you will deliver actionable insights and play a critical role in guiding our Brand strategy and delivering on those goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement overarching marketing and brand strategies that align with our business objectives and resonate with diverse target audiences across multiple brands, products and regions.
  • Brand Management: Oversee and nurture the growth of multiple brands within our portfolio, ensuring cohesive and impactful marketing approaches tailored to each brand’s unique identity and market positioning.
  • Global Marketing Execution: Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns, adapting strategies to local markets while maintaining a unified global brand voice. Execute a rigorous demand generation process from Marketing with pipeline reports and other analytics that ensure healthy funnel growth, as well as speedy conversion and lower CAC.
  • Partnerships & Brand Activations: Identify and execute on partnership opportunities to grow brand presence alongside values-aligned businesses that elevate and extend Convene (and sub brands) market presence, or thought leadership through barter agreements, and paid content.
  • Client Engagement & Loyalty: Develop and implement initiatives to drive client engagement and loyalty. This includes co-developing a Convene loyalty program, maintaining the client advisory board, and conceiving innovative strategies to foster loyalty and engagement within Convene's client base.
  • Product Marketing: Collaborate with product teams to create compelling messaging and positioning for our various product offerings, driving awareness, engagement, and adoption. Contribute input to product positioning, packaging and lead pricing informed by market intelligence and strategic insight.
  • Comms & PR: Lead the PR & Comms team creating consistency across our brand, marketing, communications and PR messaging, ensuring strategic business objectives are met as well as effectively managing crisis response communications and gaining media traction with core brand messages.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and results-driven performance. Manage cross-functional projects and drive strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize market research, analytics, and performance metrics to guide strategy, optimize campaigns, and measure ROI. Track competitive marketplace, industry and individual customer trends to drive the growth strategy and execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Operations, to ensure marketing initiatives support broader business goals and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging marketing technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Financial Acumen: responsible for management of the marketing budget to optimize revenue outcomes and support the global marketing team’s efforts

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Extensive marketing experience with a proven track record in managing multiple brands, along with a strong background in developing and executing successful marketing strategies for diverse product offerings.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, manage cross-functional projects, and drive strategic initiatives. Record of success collaborating cross-functionally and using influence to build demand for a category-creating offering to the market
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with experience in leveraging data to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Brand Aesthetic: A strong visual ability and brand sensibility to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders on the creation of on-brand collateral, messaging and activations.

Base Salary:

Salary Min: $200,000 Salary Max: $225,000

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
