CAFE ATTENDANT

We’re seeking a Café Attendant to join our Café Team. The Café Attendant will report directly to the Manager.

What You’ll Do:

The Cafe Attendant is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. They are also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas. The Cafe Attendant fulfills any other duties the Café Manager and Lead Barista assigns, and represents a professional manner. 

  • Delivers fast, friendly, personalized service while building relationships.
  • Accurately takes, calls back, and processes guests' orders.
  • Prepares beverages and food items to company standards, following all recipes and procedures.
  • Educates guests on products, services, and menu offerings.
  • Maintains consistent product quality and completes required certifications.
  • Develops knowledge of coffee and tea regions, blends, and flavor profiles.
  • Answers customer questions regarding products, preparation, and freshness.
  • Operates the register accurately, including handling payments and providing change.
  • Handles phone inquiries professionally, including orders and store information.
  • Monitors and proactively resolves customer service issues, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Weighs, grinds, and packages coffee according to company guidelines.
  • Stocks and restocks inventory, including baked goods and retail items.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the store, including the bar area, equipment, and common spaces.
  • Assists with receiving and organizing shipments.
  • Follows safety protocols and reports hazards, incidents, and operational issues to management.

  • Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages
  • Must be able to work overtime, as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to use hand-to-finger motions, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting, and be able to focus on distant and close-range projects

Compensation: Full-Time Hourly Rate: $21.00

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
