Network Infrastructure (Construction) Operations Manager, New York City
Please note: This role is based in New York City and requires regular onsite presence.
Join Convene Hospitality Group as a full-time Network Infrastructure Operations Manager and play a critical role in designing, delivering, and maintaining the technology that powers our venues and teams. In this fast-paced, agile environment, you will own the deployment and ongoing support of IT network and security infrastructure across a complex portfolio of venues in the U.S. and U.K.
In this role, you will lead high-impact infrastructure initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure reliable, secure operations across both new builds and existing sites. You will also contribute to global projects, collaborate with a highly skilled team, and continue building your expertise with modern, enterprise-scale technologies. This position partners with and reports directly to CHG’s Senior Director of Global Infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with an extremely talented cross-functional team to build and maintain the infrastructure which powers the Convene Hospitality Group family of brands venues
- Work with departments across the company and help the team respond quickly and effectively to business needs
- Work with vendor partners during the design process, enforcing standards and ensuring a base level of quality control
- Participate in and manage vendor selection across structured cabling, security infrastructure, and network delivery
- Implement customer networks using both external and internal resources
- Manage multiple vendors on multiple projects by defining initial detailed scope for a project and then overseeing work on a week-to-week basis to ensure accurate, quality delivery
- Contribute to network transformation projects including new site builds, network/security upgrade projects, and preventative maintenance inspections
- Enforce policy to maintain best practices around network, IT Security, change management procedures, and compliance
- Conduct break/fix operations and escalations for Security and IT infrastructure on an on-call basis
- Explore new technologies and drive cost effectiveness while maintaining standards
What We Look For:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with designing, deploying, maintaining, and managing enterprise-scale networks.
- Experience working with and writing scopes of works with structured cabling, remote hands, and IT consulting partners
- Advanced competency in communications cabling design, including working on CAD and Revit based projects while coordinating with multiple trades (Architectural, MEP, etc) - RCDD certification a plus
- Experience with IP-Based Access Control and Security Camera Systems
- Familiarity with networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Extreme Networks - experience with Juniper JunOS is preferred)
- Familiarity with WiFi based (802.11ax/802.11be) architecture, technologies, WiFi design, and day to day operations (experience with Extreme Networks CloudIQ and EkahauAI preferred)
- Proven experience using Jira or other project management tracking systems
- Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems using both internal and external resources
- Strong skills in communication with internal/external stakeholders and customers
- Familiarity in LAN/WAN architecture, multi-site VPN, WiFi networks, and cloud networking
- Commitment to quality- caring deeply about quality and knowing what it means to deliver high quality experience
- Collaboration and adaptability - you’re comfortable wearing many different hats

Base Salary:
Salary Min: 160,000 Salary Max: $175,000
This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
