Summary:
A Workday Security Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing HR and Financial applications within the Workday system. This role focuses on maintaining security groups, roles, domains, and policies, conducting audits, and collaborating with Business Analysts to implement security requirements while ensuring the segregation of duties for State agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Implement security for user profiles, roles, domain/business process security, integration, and reports within Workday.
- Maintain a security matrix, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards and State policies.
- Serve as the Lead Security Administrator for Workday, handling configuration, maintenance, integrations, and optimization.
- Stay informed on Workday's roadmap and product releases; assess new features and their impact on security.
- Troubleshoot and assist users with security-related issues and guide security best practices.
- Implement and manage role-based access controls aligned with job duties.
- Manage and configure domain and business process security policies and workflow.
- Document security incidents, resolutions, and lessons learned for future improvement.
- Review and update security roles based on business requirements and regulatory updates.
- Assist in SSO/MFA secure authentication configuration and policies.
- Coordinate Workday quarterly updates, validations, workflows, and process improvements.
- Communicate security matters to senior executives through reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information assurance, or a related field.
- Six years of information technology experience, with at least four years specifically in Workday security.
- Expertise in managing Business Processes and Domain Security Policies within Workday.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Workday Custom Security Groups.
- Experience with Workday User Provisioning and De-Provisioning processes.
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and security modules.
- Effective communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Single-Sign-On/Multi-Factor Authentication for secure application authentication.
- Understanding of Tenant and Release management within Workday.
- Ability to configure security/reports migrations using Workday Object Transporter (OX 2.0).
- Knowledge of data privacy standards and compliance requirements, especially for the government industry.
- Local candidates preferred due to the expectation of being onsite 1-2 days a week.
