Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and processes into the design and development of software and IT processes. This role ensures compliance with established quality standards and meets customer requirements by analyzing best practices and establishing customer satisfaction metrics. The Quality Assurance Manager champions quality principles across business and IT processes through training and team facilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the definition and integration of quality principles into software and IT process design and development.
- Ensure execution of quality methods and procedures.
- Monitor compliance of products, applications, and systems with established quality standards.
- Analyze and implement best-in-class processes and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Champion quality principles through training, communication programs, and team-building activities.
- Research, develop, and implement testing methods and procedures.
- Monitor and report defects to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage and mentor supervisors, project leaders, and/or technical staff.
- Act as a project leader and subject matter expert on complex projects.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of systems development and business experience.
- Experience in developing and conducting test processes for diverse systems and client users.
- Prior management, supervisory, or team leader experience.
- Expertise in middle-level management within quality assurance functions.
- Ability to work under general direction of senior-level management.
