Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Security Specialist to develop, evaluate, and manage systems security across our enterprise. The role involves handling account management, password auditing, vulnerability scanning, virus management, and intrusion detection. You will work closely with IT staff to ensure implementation of security policies, and educate users on security standards and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures, including log-on and authentication rules, and security breach escalation procedures.
• Conduct network and web application vulnerability scanning and virus management.
• Prepare status reports on security matters and develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
• Monitor security profiles and review security violation reports to investigate possible security exceptions.
• Evaluate security-related products and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
• Provide direct support to business and IT staff for systems security-related issues.
• Educate users on systems security standards and procedures.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of combined IT and security work experience with exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.
• Technical expertise in systems administration and security tools.
• Broad technical knowledge of network operating systems, such as UNIX and NT.
• Comprehensive understanding of security issues, techniques, and implications across all computer platforms.
