Summary: Seeking an experienced contractor with extensive expertise in scripting, server configuration, and infrastructure management to support and optimize the Department WIC data system and associated applications. This role involves daily technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancing system performance through strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily development and technical support for the Department WIC data system and interfaces, including EBT system and other applications.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for daily processing and development issues.
- Maintain and submit documentation on system performance, including maintenance and process corrections.
- Identify and recommend operational efficiencies to enhance system performance.
- Conduct evaluations of new software or hardware and recommend technologies to support business processes.
- Analyze and document technical requirements for system fixes, modifications, and enhancements.
- Produce work plans for implementing infrastructure requirements for system platform improvements.
- Create scripts for system fixes, modifications, enhancements, interfaces, and integration processes.
- Conduct and document testing results for system modifications and enhancements.
- Produce documentation for system modifications and enhancements as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten years in scripting and infrastructure management using PowerShell, SQL, Python, and MS batch scripts.
- Ten years of experience in configuring Windows server installations and applying security best practices.
- Five years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) using platforms such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible.
- Five years with Microsoft SCCM or Intune and management of end-user workstations.
- Five years supporting Linux/BSD server installations.
- Five years of experience with Active Directory and group policies.
- Five years of experience supporting business applications in cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of network protocols, topologies, VLANs, subnets, and route tables.
- Exceptional logical troubleshooting skills and self-motivation, evidenced by career achievements or advancements.
