About the role

We are seeking a results-driven Accounting Manager in the Greater Buenos Aires area to lead a team of 3-4 accountants. Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager based in New York City, this role will oversee accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records and practices while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close reporting
• Verify the accuracy of costs and reconcile subledgers to the general ledger (Cash, A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed assets, etc.)
• Collaborate with A/P, Treasury, and cross-functional teams across the company
• Communicate regularly with the Senior Accounting Manager and staff
• Prepare internal and external financial statements
• Assess and improve accounting operations, implementing new processes as needed
• Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate accounting effectiveness
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead and build a strong, growing accounting team
• Perform other duties as required in the accounting role

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• 4-6 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Snowflake, Tableau
• Experience in fast paced direct-to-consumer and inventory environments preferred

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to meet with the team in-person in Buenos Aires periodically and travel internationally as needed.
