About the Team:
Our mission is to build and maintain the internal services that power theScore Bet platform. The Sportsbook Core team supports client developers with everything they need to power the mobile & web applications including server driven betslips, fully customizable marketplaces, account histories, and more. We deal with monitoring and receiving updated markets as quickly as possible; managing the full lifecycle of a bet; and managing user’s wallets including the flow of money through theScore. We take pride in delivering highly reliable and scalable solutions that give users the best experience.
About the Work:
- Work with our preferred technology stack (Primarily Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, modern JavaScript).
- Develop, scale, and optimize amazing GraphQL & RESTful APIs.
- Be part of our backend service teams supporting web and mobile clients.
- Build front-end applications using modern JavaScript technologies (React, TypeScript).
- Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Other duties as required.
About You:
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms and software design.
- Passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
- Experience with modern web framework and API development (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, Django, Node).
- Experience with Git and GitHub or similar.
- A strong grasp and experience with relational databases; including PostgreSQL and MySQL.'
- Experience with background job processing (Oban, Sidekiq, Celery, RabbitMQ).
- Comfortable working in the terminal.
- Proficiency within an editor of your choice.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, pytest or equivalent.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with GraphQL APIs, GCP/AWS, Kubernetes, contribution to open source software, experience working at startups, passion for sports and/or esports.
