theScore is looking for an individual to fill a QA Automation Engineer, Co-op position. Our ideal candidate will have some knowledge of best practices when it comes to mobile testing, and a solid background of software development concepts.
About the Work:
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for API, web and native mobile apps on Android & iOS platforms
- Investigate and fix test failures using root cause analysis during maintenance and planning efforts
- Work with feature teams to develop an automated test strategy for new features being delivered and implement the strategy
- Work with the QA Automation team to raise concerns or patterns observed with test failures to raise awareness and resolve issues quickly
- Identify, record, and track bugs
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions with other Automation Engineers
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Other duties as required
About You:
- Knowledge of SDLC and software development concepts
- Strong problem solving and coding ability in an OOP language
- Foundational knowledge of testing concepts and a testing mindset
- Experience with developing or testing REST APIs
- Experience using version control (Git) and testing frameworks (Junit, TestNG)
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus
- Experience testing web or mobile apps is a plus
- Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins, CircleCI) is a plus
- Experience and comfort with bash scripting is a plus
- Experience using Xcode/Android Studio is a plus
- Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA) and defect workflow is a plus
