About the Team  

The Penn Interactive team is at the center of a rapidly growing industry. We are the largest, most innovative provider of gaming entertainment in North America. From ESPN BET, iCasino, to lifestyle content through theScore, we deliver the experiences people want, how and where they want them. 

The Sportsbook Wagering team focuses on our core betting experiences and works hand in hand with the Sportsbook Engagement & Growth teams to drive retention and engagement with our products. In addition to our consumer betting apps the Wagering team also works closely with our internal operations teams and builds connections between products.

In this role you’ll get to flex your creative problem solving and work with a team of designers to elevate our core betting experiences. If you’re a passionate designer looking to level up your craft, we want to work with you!

About the Work  

  • Work closely with other product designers, user researchers, product managers and engineers to execute features and product solutions.
  • Collaborate with other product designers on ongoing initiatives such as: UX and UI design, contributing to a design system and shipping a feature.
  • Leverage our double-diamond design playbook and various frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to create user flows, HMW (How Might We), journey maps, wireframes, hi-fi’s etc.
  • Most days, you’ll be using Figma, so ensure you have a good understanding of how the tool works, from design to prototyping.
  • A critical part of product design involves pitching your work and justifying your design decisions, so you’ll be expected to communicate and articulate your thoughts regularly.
  • Being open and receptive to feedback, exploring iterations, and sharing objective feedback on other designs.
  • Ship aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that delight and add value to our users.
  • Always thinking about how to improve team and organizational processes.
  • Other duties as required.

About You 

  • You are completing a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Figma
  • A strong portfolio showing your process of working through full end-to-end experiences, design thinking, and using research to drive decisions.
  • You elevate the design team through the way you approach design – from actively seeking feedback, communicating designs, and setting the standard for execution.
  • You’re comfortable working autonomously and know when to bring others in to move things forward quickly.
  • You’re eager to learn about cross functional teams, how to share creative work to partner functions, and contribute to & lead workshops.
