The Role:

Coras have an immediate need for a Manager in Canberra with proven Project Management skills and experience in the Defence Industry. 

This Service Delivery role sits within our Land, Air, National Security and Enabling segment, and will see you providing Project Management consulting services to our Defence clients. We are looking for a person with proven Project Management experience within the One Defence Capability System and who are known for their ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders while working within or managing a project team. You have experience working in the Australian Defence environment supporting Commonwealth organisations successfully deliver critical capability, and you have an understanding and ideally accreditations in Project Management methodologies.

Being a Defence consultancy, please note all Coras team members are required to be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

Required skills and attributes include: 

  • Previous experience providing Project Management services to Defence, preferably within the Land or Air Domains
  • Working knowledge of the One Defence Capability System  
  • A strong track record of managing resources to ensure all project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget 
  • Humanistic, with a high level of emotional intelligence 
  • Persistent, resilient, and proactive problem-solver 
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator and facilitator 
  • Excellent planner with a high attention to detail 
  • An active NV1

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory): 

  • Relevant qualifications or accreditations in Project Management 
  • Experience in managing the development of capability definition artefacts 
  • Experience in Defence procurement 
  • Working knowledge of the ASDEFCON suite 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in delivering Defence projects and 3 years experience as a named Project Manager 
  • Experience in “Above the Line” support directly to the Commonwealth
