The Role
We are seeking a proactive and influential Talent Acquisition Specialist to strengthen Coras’ market presence and drive strategic recruitment outcomes across all segments of our business – Maritime Capability; Maritime Sustainment; Land, Air, National Security & Enabling; Data & AI; and Corporate Services.
This is part-time opportunity (3-4 days per week) for a fixed term of 14 months.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including role scoping, advertising, talent sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management and onboarding.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for specialised Defence and National Security roles, informed by Segment plans, market maps and other strategic insights.
- Partner with Segment Leaders and the broader People & Culture team to understand current and emerging workforce needs, contributing to short and long-term workforce planning initiatives.
- Manage recruitment-related reporting, metrics and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Plan and coordinate Coras’ presence at relevant recruitment and industry events and seminars.
- Maintain and enhance our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR / recruiting tools.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 3-4 years of end-to-end recruiting experience, specifically within the Defence and/or National Security Industry.
- Demonstrated capability in attracting and sourcing talent for highly specialised roles.
- Proactive in building and maintain talent pipelines to anticipate future workforce needs.
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and contemporary HR technologies.
Highly Regarded (Ideal) Skills & Experience
- Existing Defence network or involvement in Defence industry activities / events.
- Exposure to broader People & Culture functions, such as onboarding, engagement initiatives or HR operations.
