Sales Development Manager L1

Cordance is seeking a Sales Development (SDR) Manger reporting to the Director of Sales Development. You will be an integral part of building, leading, coaching, and developing a new Sales Development team that will support our growing number of business units (currently 16). You will work closely with the Director of Sales Development to create and drive KPIs and performance. You will also work cross-functionally with other members of the Cordance HQ team and members of the individual business units. You will help create, refine and iterate process design & improve productivity by using data and analyzing trends.  

This is a fully remote role; all candidates must be based in the US or Canada.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead by example by demonstrating Cordance’s core values and inspiring a culture of top performing team players. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a respectful, hardworking, winning culture. 
  • Build and lead a team designed to generate adequate pipeline to exceed sales targets by leveraging sales metrics and analyzing trends to drive business SDR strategy to ensure team goals are achieved. Supporting the team mission: Create a best-in-class sales development approach to drive consistent, durable pipeline generation and developing a talent pipeline. 
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives, targets, and quotas. 
  • Develop first-time, and experienced SDRs to become the next generation of Cordance Talent through proactive coaching, teaching, and mentoring. 
  • Leverage data (leading and lagging indicators) to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals: Activity, conversion rates, ASP, account coverage, opportunities, sourced revenue targets, headcount objectives, etc.
  • Consistently monitor and improve the activities of your team. 
  • Identify hiring and competency / skill gaps on your team. 
  • Collaborate with AEs, business unit leaders, Demand Generation Directors, and others to advise, create, and execute on coordinated best practice prospecting and campaigns. This may be Division or BU specific or across all BU’s 
  • Work closely with SDRs, SDR leadership, and sales leaders on cross-functional projects that could include customer acquisition, best practice across the SDR org, Manager training, SDR training, Recruiting/Hiring, onboarding SDRs, process design or rule changes, creation of playbooks, segment specific projects, employee motivation and incentives, etc. 
  • Manage varying business requirements and nuances in an assigned Division/BUs/team. 
  • Collaborate with and coordinate with SDR, Sales, and Marketing leadership to share information, feedback, and key learnings regarding trends and processes.  
  • Willingness to learn and adapt. Bias towards action and results. 

Qualifications: 

  • 1 year plus experience as a team mentor or team lead 
  • Experience working in the B2B SMB space 
  • Previous prospecting and cold outreach experience 
  • Extraordinarily strong work ethic with confidence to work autonomously and remotely, self-starter 
  • Creative problem solver, you have the innate ability to figure things out 
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills 
  • Strong research skills and the ability to “connect the dots” 
  • Highly motivated to succeed both individually and collectively 
  • Naturally curious, passionate, and competitive  
  • Strong desire to grow 
  • Proficiency in collaborating with peers and leaders to achieve common goals. 

Nice-to-have's: 

  • AA/AS/BA/BS 
  • SDR/BDR leadership experience in a data driven sales model  
  • Proven experience as a successful quota carrying, sales rep in a closing role (i.e. Account Executive). 
  • Experience working with a distributed workforce and comfortable with a blend of synchronous and asynchronous communication, working across multiple time zones
