Account Executive

United States - Remote

Cordance is dedicated to accelerating the growth of vertically focused business-to-business (B2B) software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies through acquisition and long-term tactical and financial guidance. We’re experienced operators and subject-matter experts with a passion for software and building businesses. We partner with founders to help them scale their businesses and realize their companies’ full potential.

We look for businesses with strong leadership and high potential for profitable growth, and work together to increase year-over-year revenue, company efficiency, and impact. Cordance envisions that all companies we work with achieve their full potential. We embrace what makes each company great and build on those foundations. We believe in elevating a company as it scales, delivering dignity to the organization and its employees, and sharing a passion for building a legacy.

Cordance is seeking an Account Executive for Upright Labs, a leader in the rapidly expanding recommerce industry, to join their dynamic sales team. As they continue to grow and innovate within the secondhand and thrift e-commerce space, this role will be critical in driving new business, expanding market reach, and ensuring the continued success of their flagship product, Upright Lister.

In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to introduce Upright Lister to new clients, particularly those in emerging markets within the recommerce ecosystem. You will work closely with our existing partnerships to leverage leads, build a robust sales pipeline, and drive revenue growth. With full ownership of the sales cycle—from prospecting through to deal closing—you will be at the forefront of our mission to revolutionize how secondhand goods are sold online.

This is a fully remote role, candidates must reside in the US

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Sales for Upright Lister & Services: Act as the driving force behind the sales of Upright Lister, focusing on recommerce, secondhand, and thrift markets. You will engage with potential clients to understand their needs and position Upright Lister as the best solution to optimize their operations and improve efficiency
  • Market Expansion: Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in both established and emerging markets within the recommerce space. You will develop a strategic approach to market penetration, identifying key industries and sectors where Upright Lister can drive value
  • Own the Entire Sales Process: Take full responsibility for managing the entire sales cycle. This includes everything from prospecting and lead qualification, to conducting software demos, negotiating terms, and closing deals. Your ability to build strong relationships and provide tailored solutions will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Leverage Partnership-Driven Leads: Collaborate closely with our strategic partners to utilize partnership-generated leads, converting them into meaningful business opportunities. You will be tasked with nurturing these relationships to maximize pipeline development and revenue growth
  • Craft Tailored Proposals: Work hand-in-hand with potential clients to understand their specific needs and business objectives. By doing so, you’ll create custom proposals that demonstrate how Upright Lister can meet their goals, incorporating incentives and negotiating terms to close deals effectively
  • Contribute to a High-Performance Culture: Be a part of a results-driven team where your contributions directly impact the success of the company. You will thrive in a competitive but collaborative environment that rewards top performers and encourages continuous growth and development

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SaaS sales, account management, or business development, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong skills in lead qualification, conducting software demos, and developing compelling proposals that address client needs and business challenges
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the secondhand, recommerce, or e-commerce industries, though all candidates with a passion for sales and sustainability are encouraged to apply
  • A deep passion for sustainability and eco-friendly practices, particularly the extension of product lifecycles and the reduction of waste through secondhand commerce
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues alike
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing market conditions and client needs

Please note that we do not accept unsolicited resumes, work on a Corp-to-Corp basis, or engage with non-vetted external agencies.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
