Senior Director of People

Cordance is seeking a Sr. Director of People who is a mission-critical leadership role reporting directly to the CFO and partnering closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and scale the human resources function in a multi-product software platform that will continue acquire new business units at a high velocity.
The Sr. Director of People will serve as the senior-most people leader responsible for aligning human capital strategy with business objectives across both our HQ operations and our 20+ acquired B2B SaaS business units. This role will lead, develop, and expand our current team of five People professionals, who manage day-to-day people operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance activities.
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced People leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, and complex environments, particularly those involving M&A activity, multi-brand integration and global workforce management.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, CEO, and executive team on organizational design, workforce planning, and people strategy.
- Align HR strategy with business priorities across a portfolio of 20+ business units and corporate functions.
- Lead organizational development efforts to support both organic growth and post-acquisition integration.
- Enhance Cordance’s talent acquisition strategy to meet the evolving needs of our HQ and product lines.
- Strengthen the company’s employer brand to attract and retain top-tier talent in the highly competitive SaaS market, with a particular focus on sales professionals and business unit presidents/leadership.
- Implement streamlined, scalable hiring processes, systems, and metrics to support high-growth hiring.
- Design and launch leadership development and succession planning programs to build organizational bench strength.
- Oversee learning and development programs that build employee capabilities and promote career growth at all levels.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that build community, improve retention, and foster a unified platform culture.
- Build upon Cordance’s integration playbook to support people due diligence, onboarding, post-merger integration and alignment for Cordance’s acquisitions.
- Support with change management and ensure new employees develop positive first impressions of Cordance and are set up for success.
- Optimize HR operations, including HRIS systems, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance frameworks.
- Establish HR metrics & analytics (e.g., compensation benchmarking, comp expense ratios, turnover & attrition, eNPS, time to fill, etc) to drive informed workforce decisions and report key people metrics to the executive team and board.
- Support the executive team as they work to implement AI-driven tools and strategies to increase efficiency and employee productivity.
- Promote a platform-wide culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Serve as advocate and key owner of Cordance’s Defining Objectives, Standard Objectives, Priorities & Commitments performance management framework.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives across all levels and locations. Lead initiatives to ensure equity of pay, benefits, and HR policies across Cordance.
- Serve as a visible leader and cultural ambassador to employees across all geographies and product lines.
What you bring:
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in private equity-backed, multi-entity, or high-growth SaaS or technology organizations.
- Proven success in scaling HR operations and leading teams in organizations with over 500 employees across multiple business units or product lines.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, leadership development, organizational design, employee engagement, and HR operations.
- Experience in post-merger integration, change management, and building scalable HR functions in M&A-intensive environments.
- Strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making capabilities, and the ability to influence at the executive level.
