About the Role

Corelight is looking for a strategic, hands-on Manager, Customer Education & Certification to lead the transformation of how our customers learn, develop technical expertise, and realize value from our technology. You'll lead a team responsible for evolving our existing training offerings into a modern, scalable customer education program that customers actively seek out. From developing engaging technical learning experiences and building recognized certification pathways to driving training adoption and revenue, you'll help security professionals build meaningful skills while strengthening customer engagement and long-term success.

This is a player-coach opportunity for someone who can set the vision, develop and lead a high-performing team, and personally contribute to the development and delivery of technical training and certification programs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the transformation of Corelight's customer education program, evaluating existing training offerings, identifying gaps, and building a scalable strategy that accelerates customer onboarding, technical proficiency, product adoption, and long-term value.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the customer education team, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, and accountability while remaining actively involved in training delivery, content development, and certification initiatives.
  • Design and launch technical certification programs, developing tiered, role-based learning pathways, competency frameworks, practical assessments, and digital credentials that validate real-world skills and establish Corelight certifications as valuable professional achievements.
  • Develop and deliver engaging technical education, personally contributing to self-paced courses, modular learning paths, instructor-led training, interactive labs, and practical exercises tailored to security engineers, administrators, threat hunters, and SOC analysts.
  • Modernize learning through AI and automation, leveraging emerging technologies to accelerate content creation, personalize learning experiences, improve accessibility, and scale education globally.
  • Drive cross-functional adoption of customer education, partnering with Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Product to increase awareness, engagement, and adoption of Corelight's education and certification offerings.
  • Expand the commercial impact of education, improving utilization of purchased training services, identifying new revenue opportunities, and integrating education throughout the customer journey to support adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Measure and continuously improve program effectiveness, establishing meaningful metrics across enrollment, completion, demonstrated proficiency, certification attainment, customer satisfaction, training utilization, and revenue.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with 7+ years of experience in customer education, technical training, instructional design, or related functions within B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or cybersecurity.
  • Experience leading and developing technical education or training teams, with a demonstrated ability to balance people management, strategic program ownership, and hands-on execution.
  • Proven experience building, transforming, or scaling technical customer education programs, with measurable results in learner engagement, customer adoption, or business impact.
  • Strong hands-on instructional design and content development experience, including technical curricula, self-paced learning, interactive labs, practical assessments, and instructor-led training.
  • Experience developing technical certification programs, including role-based learning pathways, competency frameworks, skills assessments, and digital credentials.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems, digital credentialing platforms, and modern learning technologies, including practical experience applying AI and automation to education development or delivery.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to understand complex technologies and translate them into accessible, engaging learning experiences. Experience in cybersecurity, networking, cloud infrastructure, or SOC workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Commercial acumen, strong cross-functional influence, and demonstrated ownership of programs that connect customer education to product adoption, training utilization, revenue, or retention.
