At Coretelligent, we take ownership of the technology our clients rely on every day.

We partner with growing, highly regulated organizations that need secure, dependable IT environments built to scale. Our role goes beyond support. We bring structure, clarity, and accountability to complex technology landscapes so leaders can move forward with confidence.

Over the past several years, Coretelligent has entered a new chapter. We have strengthened our leadership team, modernized our service delivery, and sharpened our focus on long-term client outcomes. Our work spans managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and strategy, delivered through a model designed for consistency, transparency, and trust.

We are building a team of professionals who care deeply about quality, ownership, and continuous improvement. If you value clear expectations, thoughtful collaboration, and work that genuinely matters to the businesses you support, you will feel at home here.

Job Overview

As a Project Engineer, the role is accountable for end-to-end execution of client infrastructure projects from SoW intake and technical planning through staging, on-site deployment/cutover, and post-go-live stabilization. You will operate as a senior hands-on contributor, partnering tightly with Project Managers to drive schedule adherence, risk management, and stakeholder alignment. Standards are required; critical thinking and real-world engineering judgment are non-negotiable. The Engineer must be able to successfully work on multiple projects consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute infrastructure project scopes: design validation, configuration, staging, deployment, cutover, and stabilization.
  • Convert SoWs into technical build plans: sequencing, dependencies, risk controls, acceptance criteria, and rollback strategy.
  • Validate readiness and logistics prior to execution: access prerequisites, site readiness, maintenance window requirements, and third-party dependencies.
  • Review equipment orders against design intent (models/SKUs, licensing, optics/DACs, port capacity/PoE, power/UPS sizing) and proactively resolve gaps to avoid field failures.
  • Lead on-site implementation: rack/stack, cabling verification, circuit/ISP handoff validation, firewall/switch/wireless turn-up, and production cutovers.
  • Own change execution governance: maintenance window planning, stakeholder communications, go/no-go checkpoints, rollback readiness, post-change validation, and hypercare.
  • Ensure monitoring/alerting, backups, logging, and support handoff criteria are met prior to project closure.
  • Produce Coretelligent-standard deliverables: runbooks, network diagrams, IP plans, configuration/build guides, and end-user guides as required.
  • Maintain accurate project notes, artifacts, and updates in ServiceNow (or equivalent ITSM), ensuring auditable delivery records; surface scope creep and drive change control when needed.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to maintain delivery velocity: status, blockers, risks, scope change impacts, and stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with third-party vendors (audio/video, voice/telecom, line-of-business) to integrate systems and complete cutovers successfully.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through disciplined execution, clear communication, and reliable outcomes

Project Types:

  • Office network deployments: firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, UPS
  • File sharing services: Windows-based file server migrations to Egnyte, Box, OneDrive/SharePoint
  • Security integrations: SSO and MFA (Entra ID/Azure SSO, Microsoft Authenticator, Windows Hello, Duo)
  • MDM deployments: Intune and Jamf (enrollment strategy, compliance, conditional access alignment)
  • Email migrations and Microsoft 365 initiatives
  • Server upgrades/migrations: VMware and Hyper-V, storage integration, performance and failover validation
  • Backup/DR implementations: Datto and Veeam, recoverability verification
  • Email security and compliance: DMARC/DKIM/SPF governance; Mimecast (as applicable)
  • Office relocations: readiness planning, ISP coordination, move-day execution, and post-move stabilization
  • Vendor-led deployments: audio/video and phone system projects integrated into the client environment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years delivering IT infrastructure projects in MSP/consulting or multi-client environments.
  • Proven hands-on delivery across core domains:
    • Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID
    • Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V (Azure/AWS exposure a plus)
    • Firewalls and VPNs (Fortinet/Cisco/SonicWall; remote access and site-to-site)
    • Switching/routing and wireless (Meraki, Cisco/Dell switching, UniFi)
    • Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure; file collaboration platforms such as Egnyte/Box/OneDrive)
    • Security controls (SSO/MFA, endpoint security tooling)
    • Backup/DR solutions (Datto, Veeam)
    • Remote Desktop Services (MS RDS, Citrix)
    • Storage (HPE Nimble, Dell EMC, Synology)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical cutovers under pressure with clear communication, disciplined troubleshooting, and strong stakeholder management.
  • Strong documentation discipline: diagrams, as-builts, and runbooks that for L1/L2 support to operate and troubleshoot without engineer dependency
  • Ability to operate effectively under ambiguity; uses standards as guardrails.

Travel and work requirements:

  • Ability to travel for project work at least once a month.
  • Able to regularly work nights and weekends to perform off-hours upgrades and migrations

Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience):

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
