About the Role:
We are seeking a talented commercial real estate counsel to help manage the company's expanding real estate portfolio with a focus on data center leasing, acquisitions and development. The candidate will have to provide support on a broad spectrum of real estate, JV and leasing transaction regarding our data centers. You will be joining a deeply engaged team that values collaboration and invites divergent thinking. We take a practical and efficient approach to everything we do and aim to build strong and trusting relationships with our team, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing data center lease agreements;
- Provide guidance and counsel on the acquisition, development and financing of data center properties;
- Offer on going support for data center operations, including handling contractual matters infrastructure and power agreements;
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to run real estate due diligence and closings.
- Provide on-going legal guidance to the company on a wide range of commercial transactions in the ordinary course of operations.
- Possess strong organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
- Be both detail and team oriented
- Flexibility to shift responsibilities if necessary
- Must be able to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient in Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets
- Have an understanding of contract management software
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate documents
- Experience in title and survey reviews
- Experience in managing closing processes
- Candidate must be admitted to practice in NY/NJ
- Bachelor’s degree and a JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Review and analyze commercial real estate due diligence
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000 - $185,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
