We are seeking a talented Data Center Manager to lead and manage our Norway data center operations. The Data Center Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, coordination, and management of all Norway data center facilities. The primary objectives will be to ensure the successful delivery of new data center builds to the required timelines and the ongoing management of Coreweave’s cloud platforms to the defined service levels . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center operations, hands-on experience in data center management, and a track record of managing staff effectively.
The salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 NOK to 1,350,000 NOK, plus bonus and competitive benefits. Pay is based on a number of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Location: This is a 100% onsite position at our Datacenter in Kristiansand, Norway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data center leads and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Manage staff schedules, assignments, and performance, ensuring optimal workforce allocation and productivity, ensuring that the defined service levels are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback, training, and development opportunities for team members.
- Build and maintain a positive and productive relationship with the DC Provider’s onsite team
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems, ensuring that DC Provider meets their defined Service Levels
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute data center builds and expansions.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and deployment of data center equipment and infrastructure to the required timescales.
- Ensure timely completion of data center projects, meeting quality standards and budgetary constraints.
- Regularly conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, taking appropriate actions to mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to data center operations.
- Monitor and maintain the overall health of data center facilities, proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data center operations.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in managing staff in a data center environment.
- Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, mainly hardware and network.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data center operations and management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Proven project management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and virtualization is a plus.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) or DCM (Data Center Management) are advantageous.
- Experience with power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and security will be beneficial.
