Overview

Correlation One is seeking an experienced Microsoft Copilot technical expert to support our curriculum development team in creating executive and employee training programs. We have strong internal instructional design capabilities but need a technical specialist who can provide deep expertise on Copilot's functionality, limitations, and optimal use cases both as a standalone experience and when integrated with Microsoft 365 applications.

You'll work with our Learning Experience Design team to ensure our training materials accurately reflect how Copilot actually functions, identifying technical gaps, validating workflows, and advising on workarounds for common issues. This role is primarily focused on your technical knowledge of Copilot rather than curriculum design skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical validation of Copilot-focused training materials created by our curriculum team
  • Share expertise on Copilot's technical capabilities and limitations both as a standalone service and when integrated across Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Identify and document common error scenarios and their solutions when using Copilot in enterprise environments
  • Advise on the most effective use cases where Copilot provides genuine business value in various roles (e.g., underwriting, marketing, compliance)
  • Demonstrate practical workflow optimization (e.g., using Agents, integrating with Power Automate) that showcase Copilot's strengths and explain its technical constraints
  • Help our team understand where Copilot falls short compared to other AI tools and how to communicate these limitations
  • Review and validate prompt engineering techniques specific to Copilot's implementation

Expected Deliverables

  • Technical review of function-specific Copilot workflows developed by our team
  • Comprehensive guide documenting common Copilot errors and their technical solutions
  • Technical specifications on Copilot's underlying implementation and constraints
  • Analysis of Copilot's strengths and weaknesses compared to other AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT)
  • Validation of mini-capstone projects to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with both standalone Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • Deep technical understanding of how Copilot functions both as a standalone service and when integrated across multiple apps (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proven expertise troubleshooting Copilot issues and understanding its technical limitations
  • Knowledge of Copilot's underlying models and how they impact its capabilities
  • Strong grasp of effective prompt engineering techniques and agent building specific to Copilot
  • Working knowledge of at least one other major AI assistant to enable comparative analysis
  • Experience identifying optimal use cases for Copilot in business contexts
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to curriculum designers who may not have deep Copilot expertise
  • Bonus: Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or regulated industries

Collaboration Details

  • Weekly sync meetings with Learning Design and Product teams
  • Asynchronous review of curriculum materials via shared documents
  • Flexible schedule with approximately 10-15 hours per week commitment

Note: This is primarily a technical expert role, not an instructional design position. While you'll collaborate with our curriculum team, your primary value is your deep technical knowledge of Copilot, its capabilities, and limitations.

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief description of your experience with Microsoft Copilot, including specific technical challenges you've encountered and how you've overcome them.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
