Come Forge the Future of Machine Identity Security for Operational Systems

Where: Tysons, VA (Hybrid)

Reporting to: Sr. Director of Engineering

About Corsha:

At Corsha we're not just selling software; we're fundamentally reshaping how the most critical industrial and operational technology (OT) systems are secured. We're a cybersecurity startup in the DC area, driven by a mission to bring trust, resilience, and identity to the operational systems that power our world – from factories to power grids. We're building the future of machine identity security, and we need a tenacious quality engineer to join our front lines.

Tired of the Status Quo? Ready to Secure the Unseen? Here’s your Opportunity:

If you're an engineer who takes personal stake in improving product quality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for building robust testing frameworks, then read on. We move fast, we build for impact, and we need a strategic, data-driven thinker to help us ensure our solutions are reliable and production-ready for the machines that matter most.

Your Mission:

As a Senior Quality Engineer on our Quality team, your mission is to architect, scale, and maintain automated testing frameworks for our Machine Identity Platform (mIDP). You will serve as a quality champion-defining test strategies, eliminating automation friction, and empowering engineering teams to ship resilient OT security solutions with high confidence.

What You'll Do:

  • Automation Strategy & Execution: Define, implement, and execute testing strategies for platform releases, covering backend services, proxy traffic, identity gatekeepers, frontend UIs, containerized deployments, and network configurations.
  • Framework Code Ownership: Become a core code owner for both backend and frontend test automation repositories, taking personal stake in continuous refactoring, code reviews, and framework scaling.
  • Pipeline & Tooling Integration: Build seamless integrations between automated test suites, test case management tools, continuous integration pipelines, and internal engineering tools to minimize feedback loops.
  • Leverage AI for Quality: Research and evaluate AI/LLM-assisted developer tools to accelerate testing workflows, focusing on automated test case generation, prompt engineering for edge-case coverage, and optimizing framework code maintenance.
  • Failure Diagnostics & Debugging Data: Automate test suites so that when a test fails, it automatically captures all relevant container logs, proxy traffic traces, and system error logs needed for developers to immediately reproduce and fix the bug.
  • Security & Network Traffic Verification: Execute backend commands and inspect real-time network traffic to validate identity gatekeepers, access control proxies, and mTLS access policies.
  • Defect Triage & Stabilization: Investigate failing test runs, diagnose root causes, write necessary code fixes for automated tests, and systematically eliminate flaky tests to ensure reliable gating.
  • Meticulous Test Case Design: Partner with developers and functional leads upfront to translate complex platform features into comprehensive test cases within enterprise test management systems.

What we need you to bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven Technical QA Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting test automation frameworks and validating complex backend, proxy, and security infrastructure environments.
  • Test Strategy Expertise: Demonstrable ability to design detailed test plans for new platform capabilities that anticipate complex system failure modes.
  • Framework Mastery: Practical experience architecting backend and system automation suites in Python, Go, or TypeScript using major testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest or similar system-level test tools).
  • Infrastructure & CI/CD Proficiency: Solid foundation in modern CI/CD automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) to embed automation directly into deployment workflows.
  • CLI & System Diagnostics: High comfort operating in command-line environments, diagnosing platform components, and inspecting network-level proxies or gatekeepers.
  • Identity & Security Protocols: Deep understanding of identity authentication and security mechanisms (mTLS, PKI certificates, JWTs) with the diagnostic skills to troubleshoot connectivity and security policies.
  • OT & Industrial System Awareness: Understanding of operational technology (OT) environments, hardware testbeds, and the unique security/connectivity constraints of testing industrial systems.
  • Enterprise QA Tooling: Experience using enterprise test case management (TCM) tools and Agile defect tracking workflows to ensure full test coverage traceability.
  • Technical Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of authoring clear documentation, bug analyses, and framework guidelines.

Bonus Points For:

  • Practical experience with advanced testing concepts beyond functional automation, such as Performance, Load/Stress, Chaos, or Fuzz testing for backend infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Helm charts and contributing to test utilities in Go.
  • Practical experience executing test suites across both cloud-hosted infrastructure and on-premises deployment models.
  • Hands-on experience testing on real hardware, bare metal, or distributed ICS testbeds and digital twins designed to replicate physical industrial environments.
  • Experience designing test strategies for non-deterministic systems or AI/ML pipelines, utilizing evaluation frameworks (evals), benchmark testing, and statistical validation to assess model output quality and reliability.

Why Forge your Path with Corsha?

  • Real-World Impact: Your work won't just sit on a server; it will actively defend the critical operational systems that underpin our society. This is an opportunity to make a tangible, immediate difference.
  • Bleeding Edge: Be at the forefront of securing the intersection of cybersecurity, machine identity, and OT. We're defining the future, not just following trends.
  • Growth & Ownership: Working at a startup, your contributions will directly shape our product, our culture, and our success. You'll work with incredible people that care and have impact.
  • Culture of Innovation: Join a team of brilliant, passionate engineers dedicated to solving the hardest problems. We foster a collaborative, intellectually stimulating, and supportive environment.
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Wellness days, Generous PTO, Company-covered healthcare, 401k matching, paid parental leave, and of course snacks, lunches, and sustenance.
  • Compensation Disclosure: The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include variable and/or equity components.
    • $150,000 to $190,000/yr
