Senior Frontend Developer

How much money did you pay in taxes last year?

Not how much was your refund. But how much did you actually pay to the IRS?

If you are a rare human who can actually come up with a number, then our next question is, what steps are you taking to reduce your taxes?

That's what we do at Corvee. We help businesses and individuals figure out ways to save money in taxes.

How do we do this?

We have built a multi-entity, multi-year tax planning software utilized by business owners who are looking to figure out a way to stop overpaying in taxes every single year.

Our software addresses two critical challenges:

  • Corvee Tax Planning: Strategically identify opportunities to proactively save on taxes, enabling better financial decisions with a keen understanding of tax implications. See a demo at www.corvee.com
  • Instead Implementation & Preparation: Simplify the complex tax code to make it accessible and manageable for small business owners. Access it live at www.instead.com

What has been the AI impact on our business?

Our business has completely transformed what we thought was possible as of Open AI's Dev Day back in November 2023.

What we have noticed is that there are 4 types of companies who use AI at this point:

  1. Have no idea what AI is, or worse, decide it's just a fad
  2. Playing around with AI here and there
  3. Decide to invest in AI, and put it in the product
  4. Decide to invest in AI, put it in the product AND use it inside of internal processes

We've leaned in hard to being #4. We are not only putting AI at the center of our products (check out instead.com) but we also use AI to develop our software internally which is used by every team member at our company.

Your day to day

As a Senior Software Engineer at our innovative tax startup, you'll be joining a fun-loving group of in-office engineers, product and tax professionals who love to collaborate, laugh, and occasionally engage in a fierce ping pong match. • Seamlessly transition from Tailwind CSS styling to solving complex problems in JavaScript, navigating data architectures and collaborating with our backend team.
  • Partner with our brilliant team of development and tax engineers to revolutionize the industry.
  • As you settle in, you’ll have the chance to grow the front-end team and turbocharge our development efforts.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
