How You'll Contribute to the Team: 

The EVP, Market Development is a senior executive responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships primarily but not limited to, the Department of Defense (DoD). This role requires deep experience operating within large, complex enterprises, combined with a strong startup mentality, able to move decisively from strategy to execution while at the same time navigating sophisticated internal and external stakeholder environments. The selected candidate brings demonstrated success selling into the DoD via both traditional and non-traditional means including leading capture strategies, securing contract awards, and scaling DoD‑related revenue while working effectively within enterprise financial, governance, compliance, and decision‑making structures.

Primary Responsibilities Include:  

  • Own and lead the DoD market and contracts strategy, including prioritization of services, commands, defense agencies, and related defense organizations.
  • Drive end‑to‑end business development and capture efforts, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture planning, proposal strategy, and contract execution.
  • Alignment with broader Lobbying efforts for Congressional support and market development
  • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with DoD officials, prospects, and defense industry partners.
  • Develop and execute an integrated DoD market strategy aligned with enterprise growth objectives.
  • Translate complex defense market dynamics into actionable growth priorities and investment decisions.
  • Build scalable, repeatable go‑to‑market processes without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Own revenue growth and performance across assigned portfolios.
  • Lead pricing, deal structuring, and margin management for complex contracts.
  • Establish and manage teaming arrangements, alliances, joint ventures, and partner ecosystems to improve win rates and market access.
  • Navigate complex corporate and political environments to align Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Product, and Technology teams and joint venture partners around growth priorities.
  • Influence decision‑making across a matrixed organization without relying on formal authority.
  • Ensure growth market requirements are reflected in capability development, resourcing, and investment planning.
  • Lead from the front, personally driving execution, not just oversight.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, speed, and mission‑driven execution.

Role Specific Requirements Include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in enterprise growth, government markets, or defense‑adjacent industries.
  • Proven track record of winning and scaling Department of Defense contracts, including complex, multi‑year, and multi‑stakeholder programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working within large, matrixed organizations while delivering entrepreneurial, execution‑focused outcomes.
  • Deep familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, contracting structures, compliance obligations, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Ability to both develop strategies and personally drive execution.
  • High political and organizational acumen with the ability to influence across competing enterprise priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $280,000 to $300,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and work location. This position is eligible for a discretionary target incentive of up to 30% of the base salary
