Brokerage Claims Coordinator

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Brokerage Claims Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll help create a positive claims experience by ensuring customer losses are reported promptly and accurately, coordinating with insurance carriers, and supporting claims activity from initial report through adjuster assignment. 

Responsibilities

• Receive and report customer losses to the appropriate insurance carriers through phone and electronic communication channels.
• Track newly reported claims, obtain claim numbers and adjuster assignments, communicate updates to customers, and maintain accurate records in Epic.
• Assign claims to Brokerage Claims Advocates based on established claim assignment criteria.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers throughout the claims reporting process.
• Maintain insurance carrier reporting information and create claim reporting guides for new and renewing clients.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in insurance, claims, or a customer service environment preferred, but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
