Creative Services Assistant (Part-Time)

Cotulla Education is hiring a part-time Creative Services Assistant for a 6-month temporary assignment, offering $35/hour for approximately 20–25 hours per week. Ideal hours will be between 8:30-5pm EST or CST. Candidates residing in these time zones will be given preference 

The Creative Services Assistant supports the Creative Services Lead in the planning, coordination, and production of creative assets across print, digital, promotional, and event-related projects. This hybrid role blends project coordination and design support, making it ideal for someone who is both organized and creatively inclined, and interested in contributing to high-quality visual communications for multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Support

  • Assist in the creation and production of digital and print materials, including presentations, social graphics, signage, promotional materials, and event collateral
  • Support the development of branded assets in alignment with established visual identity guidelines, and maintain consistency in brand usage to ensure quality control across all design outputs
  • Prepare and package design files for internal use, presentations, and production-ready delivery
  • Organize and maintain design assets, templates, and shared libraries
  • Support layout design, image editing, and typographic refinement across projects
  • Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and techniques to help improve creative output and workflow

Project & Vendor Coordination

  • Assist in managing relationships with external vendors, including printers, promotional product suppliers, and fulfillment services
  • Help coordinate production and delivery of printed materials, branded merchandise, and signage across campus locations
  • Track project timelines, vendor deliverables, approvals, and budgets to ensure on-time, on-brand execution
  • Maintain organized records of vendor quotes, contracts, and production specs
  • Support inventory tracking and logistics for promotional materials and internal orders

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in creating assets with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop a MUST.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with vendor management and creative production workflows
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards
  • Experience with project tracking tools like Notion, Jira, or Smartsheet is a plus
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic, multi-campus environment

Position Details:

  • Part-time (approx. 20-25 hours/week, flexible scheduling)
  • Remote/hybrid flexibility depending on location
  • Ideal for someone with professional experience to broaden their project coordination or design expertise in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Marketing, or related field OR Associate degree with relevant experience and a strong portfolio.
  • Strong working design experience/coordination roles may substitute for education if skills and outcomes are proven.
