1. (Required) Name, contact information, email address, nationality, educational background, work experience, qualifications, national merit status (for special hiring program applicants only), relative's name/relationship/team and application history are collected and used for the following purposes: i) to verify the applicant's identity and qualifications, ii) for background and reference checks, iii) for job application, iv) to check application records and whether the applicant passed the hiring process, v) to communicate with the applicant, (vi) to respond to requests and inquiries regarding hiring process, and vii) to prevent unfair hiring. Collected personal information are retained for 6 months from the notification of hiring result, and then deleted. You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may prevent you from applying.

2. (Required) We would like to inform you that all collected information will be transferred to Coupang affiliate or subsidiary company* supported by the applicant for the processing of recruitment and may be transferred overseas accordingly. The personal information are transmitted using the secure transaction and destroyed upon achieving the purpose.   
You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may prevent you from applying. 

3. (Optional) Recordings of the interview process and transcriptions of interview audio maybe collected and used for the following purposes: i) to record the interview process, ii) to transcribe and document interview audio, iii) to summarize interview results, iv) to verify the interview process and evaluation results, v) to improve the hiring procedures, vi) to check candidate fitment for other open positions. vii) to record candidate's application history and review previous evaluation details. Collected personal information are retained for 4 years from the notification of hiring result, and then deleted. You may refuse to provide this consent, and refusal will not affect the recruitment process.

4. (Optional) Name, whether the candidate has Korean nationality, contact information, email address, educational background, work experience, qualifications, national merit status (for special hiring program applicants only), relative’s name/relationship/team and application history are collected and used for the purpose of year-round hiring. Collected personal information are retained for 5 years from the notification of hiring result, and then deleted. 
You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may prevent the year-round hiring from progressing normally.  

5. (Optional) Name, whether the candidate has Korean nationality, contact information, email address, educational background, work experience, qualifications, national merit status (for special hiring program applicants only) and application history are provided to one or more of the following entities other than the one applicant applied for, including Coupang affiliate or subsidiary company* for the purpose of considering hiring for other similar positions. Provided personal information are retained for 5 years from the notification of hiring result, and then deleted.  
※ You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may result in the restriction of opportunities in the hiring process of companies other than the one you applied. 

※ 본 동의를 거부할 수 있으나, 거부 시 쿠팡 계열사 및 자회사* 상시 채용이 진행되지 않습니다.

6. (Optional) Coupang affiliate or subsidiary company* will send recruitment notifications through transmission media such as phone, email, and SMS using the contact information and email address based on the consent provided by you. 

※ You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may prevent the year-round hiring from progressing normally for Coupang affiliate or subsidiary company*. 

※ This consent may be withdrawn (Do-Not-Call request) via candidatedataremove@coupang.com.

7. (Optional) Name, email address, position the applicant applied for, location (country) of the position of applicants of non-Korean nationality(*), educational background, and work experience are provided to AIM Screening Limited for the purpose of (i) education verification, (ii) qualification verification, (iii) Work experience verifications and reference checks, (iv) Credit verifications, including bankruptcy and insolvency checks and investigations into insolvency registers, (v) Directorship checks to verify whether the applicant is a registered executive or shareholder of other businesses, (vi) Identity verification to check whether the applicant is an internationally sanctioned individual, (vii) Passport verification, (viii) Social media and social network service background checks, and (ix) Adverse media checks against broadcast media, blogs, and online posts. Provided personal information are destroyed upon achieving the purpose. You may refuse to provide consent, but such refusal may result in the restriction of opportunities in the hiring process.  

(*) If this doesn’t apply to you, reference checks are not conducted even if you give your consent. 

(*) 이 케이스에 해당하지 않으시는 분들은 동의를 하시더라도 평판조회를 실시하지 않습니다.

• 평판조회는 현재 근무지를 제외한 이전 근무지에 대해서만 실시됩니다. 다만, 후보자의 이전 근무지가 없는 경우 현재 근무지에 대해서 실시됩니다. 
• 평판조회시 취득한 내용은 오직 채용과 관련된 목적으로만 사용됩니다. 
• 평판조회를 통해 수집하려는 개인정보: 담당업무, 업무능력 및 성과, 리더십, 커뮤니케이션 스킬, 대인관계, 인성, 도덕성, 퇴사사유 등 
• 보유 및 이용기간: 위 일반 개인정보의 보유기간 만료시까지 
• 평판조회를 통해 수집된 정보는 제3자는 물론 후보자 본인에게도 제공되지 않습니다. 
• 후보자 본인이 지정하는 평판조회 대상자 외에도 별도로 회사가 지정한 자에게도 평판조회가 실시될 수 있습니다. 
• 평판조회의 내용 및 채용 당락과의 연관관계에 대하여 후보자는 이의를 제기할 수 없습니다. 

본인은 상기 조건에 동의하지 않고 본인의 평판조회를 거부할 수 있는 권리가 있으며, 거부 시 채용과정에서 불리하게 평가될 수 있음을 확인합니다. 

8. (Optional) I consent to reference checks on me within the following scope:

Additional reference checks can be done on Korean(*) applicants who applied for a job at Coupang and passed on-site interviews, and Coupang arranges means to conduct reference checks.  

(*) If this doesn’t apply to you, reference checks are not conducted even if you give your consent.  

• The applicant’s references will be checked with his/her previous employers only, excluding the current employer. His/her current employer, however, shall be contacted for reference checks if he/she does not have any previous employer.  
• The information acquired from reference checks shall be used for hiring purposes only.  
• Personal information to be collected from reference checks: job responsibilities, job performance and results, leadership skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, personality, morality, and reason for leaving the job 
• Retention and usage: until the retention period for general personal information above expires 
• Information acquired from reference checks shall not be provided to the applicant nor to a third party. 
• References can be checked with a party named by Coupang in addition to the parties that the applicant chooses. 
• The applicant shall not raise objections to the findings of reference checks or their influence on the final hiring decision.  

I understand that I have the right to object to have my references checked and that my objection may result in the restriction of opportunities in the hiring process. 

[친인척 신고/Declaration of Relatives]

1. I understand that working with relatives in the same department / area where they can influence each other’s work can potentially create conflict of interest and hence needs prior approval of Coupang People Department.

[공직자 윤리법에 따른 취업심사 대상자 신고/Declaration of Retired Public Officials subject to Employment Screening]

1. Are you a person subject to employment screening who is restricted from getting employed by an institution subject to employment screening for three years upon retirement pursuant to Article 17 of the Public Service Ethics Act, etc.?

1. 본 고지는 『채용절차의 공정화에 관한 법률』 제11조 제6항에 따른 것입니다.
2. 당사 채용에 응시한 구직자 중 최종합격이 되지 못한 구직자는 『채용절차의 공정화에 관한 법률』에 따라 제출한 채용서류의 반환을 청구할 수 있음을 알려 드립니다. 다만, 홈페이지 또는 전자우편으로 제출된 경우나 구직자가 당사의 요구 없이 자발적으로 제출한 경우에는 그러하지 아니하며, 천재지변이나 그 밖에 당사에게 책임 없는 사유로 채용서류가 멸실된 경우에는 반환한 것으로 봅니다.
3. 위 2항 본문에 따라 채용서류 반환 청구를 하는 구직자는 채용서류 반환청구서[채용절차의 공정화에 관한 법률 시행규칙 별지 제3호 서식]를 작성하여 당사 이메일 (recruitingops@coupang.com) 로 제출하면, 제출이 확인된 날로부터 14일 이내에 지정한 주소지로 등기우편을 통하여 발송해 드립니다. 이 경우 등기우편요금은 수신자 부담으로 하게 되오니 유념하시기 바랍니다.
4. 당사는 위 2항 본문에 따른 구직자의 반환 청구에 대비하여 채용 여부가 확정된 날로부터 180일 간 구직자가 제출한 채용서류 원본을 보관하게 되며, 그때까지 채용서류의 반환을 청구하지 아니할 경우에는 『개인정보 보호법』에 따라 지체 없이 채용서류 일체를 파기할 예정입니다.
5. 단, 위 1항 내지 4항의 내용은 대한민국의 노동 관계 법령이 적용되는 경우에만 적용됩니다. 그 이외의 경우에는 적용되지 않습니다.

1. This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
2. A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.
3. A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit the request to the Company by email (recruitingops@coupang.com) In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
5. The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
