This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys detailed analytical work and wants to help build reliable, scalable compensation operations.

About your skills:

  • Data Analysis and Reconciliation: Working with large datasets to validate information, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborating with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, People Operations, and Payroll to resolve issues and meet deadlines.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the end-to-end administration of sales commissions for a global field organization, ensuring variable compensation is calculated and paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintain sales, quota, and commission data across Xactly Incent, Salesforce Spiff, and Salesforce through regular audits, reconciliations, and data validation.
  • Calculate, validate, and track commissions, bonuses, SPIFFs, guarantees, and other incentive payments in accordance with approved plans and policies.
  • Audit monthly and quarterly commissions, investigate discrepancies and root causes, and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve issues before payroll deadlines.
  • Support compensation-related employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations. Set up participants, plans, quotas, and assignments in line with approved policies and procedures.
  • Respond to questions from sales employees and leaders about commission statements, calculations, plan mechanics, and payments, explaining information clearly and protecting confidential data.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for calculations, adjustments, exceptions, and approvals to support compensation governance and financial controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commission processes, controls, reporting, and automation, and support quarterly and year-end close, plan deployment, and quota administration.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales compensation, commission administration, revenue or sales operations, finance, accounting, or a related analytical function.
  • Experience supporting commission calculations and/or sales compensation plan administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet monthly and quarterly deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain compensation calculations and plan mechanics.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and handle confidential employee and compensation information with discretion.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Xactly Incent and/or Salesforce Spiff.
  • Experience with Salesforce and sales opportunity, bookings, and quota data.
  • Experience supporting a global sales organization and multiple compensation plan types.
  • Familiarity with quotas, attainment, accelerators, crediting, splits, SPIFFs, guarantees, and clawbacks.
