IT QA Analyst

CPI Security, a leader in security and automation systems is hiring a IT QA Analyst for our team in our Charlotte, North Carolina market. This will be a member of IT Application Delivery responsible for Quality Assurance testing of applications and systems. Active throughout requirements and development lifecycle; studies and improves process, product, and roadmap. Involved in User Experience design and verification.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Develop and document manual test cases
  • Develop regression and smoke testing scripts UX/accessibility testing
  • Execute manual tests, analyze requirements, and report detailed defects
  • Conduct Functional UI Testing (black box), Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory Testing
  • Basic data (SQL) validation
  • Basic API payload (payloads and headers) validation
  • Contribute to requirements discussions and project planning
  • Ensure end product meets or exceeds user expectations
  • Coordinate UAT
  • Identify automation cases in test plan
  • Some automation capability; recording, basic scripting

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is not required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BS degree or 4+ years relevant experience
  • Four (4) or more years of progressive experience as a QA Tester or Analyst.
  • Primary QA for multiple small- to medium-sized projects
