What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement scalable, RESTful APIs with CRUD operations
  • Model and manage complex data relationships across services
  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) across endpoints
  • Manage API versioning and support backward compatibility
  • Build import/export functionality (e.g., CSV with type inference)
  • Support soft delete and data archival strategies
  • Own and maintain database schema migrations (e.g., Sequelize or similar)
  • Apply caching strategies to improve performance
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture planning
  • Collaborate closely with Vue frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration
  • Work with product managers to understand requirements and plan execution

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining APIs
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript
  • Experience with Sequelize (or similar ORM frameworks)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB)
  • Experience designing and documenting REST APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI)
    Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience implementing testing strategies (Unit, BDD, TDD)
  • Understanding of serverless architectures and AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3)
  • Familiarity with caching mechanisms like Redis or similar

Bonus Points

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Familiarity with TypeScript
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with Vue.js applications
