IT Operations & Network Security Specialist

What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on IT Operations & Network Security Specialist to manage and maintain our on-site IT environment. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable network connectivity, endpoint management, IT asset lifecycle control, and secure day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a security-first approach to maintaining stable and efficient IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain office network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, structured cabling, and patch panels
- Configure and monitor LAN/WAN, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, and traffic management
- Deploy and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi networks with secure authentication protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, bandwidth, and latency issues
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to ensure high network uptime
Firewall & Security Administration:
- Administer enterprise firewall solutions and maintain security policies
- Monitor firewall logs, VPN access, and network traffic
- Conduct periodic security audits, rule reviews, and patch updates
- Respond to and mitigate network security incidents
IT Asset & Endpoint Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets
- Oversee procurement, configuration, deployment, and decommissioning of IT devices
- Ensure endpoints are secured with appropriate patching and antivirus tools
- Support onboarding and off-boarding processes including access provisioning and device allocation
IT Operations & User Support:
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for infrastructure and system-related issues
- Manage escalated incidents and ensure resolution within defined SLAs
- Maintain IT documentation including SOPs, network diagrams, and operational logs
- Support system upgrades, maintenance schedules, and infrastructure improvements
Security & Compliance Support:
- Implement IT controls aligned with internal security policies and industry standards
- Support audit readiness and compliance documentation
- Manage vulnerability assessments and patch management processes
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend proactive security improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in IT operations, infrastructure, and network administration
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and endpoint management
- Experience managing on-site IT infrastructure in multi-user environments
Preferred Qualifications
- CISM / CISSP / CompTIA Security+ certification
- CCNA / CCNP certifications
- Microsoft Azure Administrator or related certifications

- On-site role
- Alternate Saturday working schedule
