About the Role

CreativeX is building the system of creative control for an AI-first marketing world. As AI rewrites how content is made, evaluated, and distributed, marketers need a foundation they can trust and a way to bring consistency, intelligence, and governance to creative at scale. That's what we're building.

For over a decade, we've powered smarter creative decisions for the world's biggest brands, shipped category-defining products, and proven that creative is the single biggest driver of marketing performance (when most folks didn't quite believe us). The industry has come around. What comes next is harder. When a marketing leader starts thinking about creative at scale — how it gets made, measured, and governed in an AI-first world — CreativeX needs to be the first name in their head. Not the one they find when they go looking. The one that's already there.

That's what this role is for. You'll build the press relationships, put our executives in front of the right rooms and the right reporters, and run the campaigns that keep us present in the market between deals. It's a hands-on job: you'll be pitching, drafting, briefing, and chasing. What this function becomes is whatever you build it into.

What You'll Do

Own the media relationship. Build and maintain real relationships with the reporters and editors who cover marketing, advertising, and enterprise technology. Pitch stories that stand up on their own merits, land coverage that a CMO would actually see, and know the difference between the two.

Put our executives in the room. Identify and win the speaking slots, panels, podcasts, and briefings that matter, and prepare our leaders properly for them — briefing docs, likely questions, the answer to the one they don't want. Positioning comes from Product Marketing and the words on the page come from Content; you own where our people show up, who they're speaking to, and whether they arrive ready.

Handle the reactive side. Draft statements, manage inbound press, and hold message discipline when something is moving quickly. You'll be the person we call at short notice, and you'll be trusted to make calls without a committee.

Run brand campaigns. Awareness-oriented placements, category sponsorships, and brand advertising — from brief through to live. You'll manage the agencies and vendors day to day and recommend where the money goes; approval sits with the CMO. These campaigns are measured on perception and salience, not pipeline. Demand Generation owns the pipeline campaigns and the target account list; you're building the recognition those campaigns land into.

Build the category narrative with Product Marketing. Take our positioning and translate it into the argument we make in public, consistently, until the category starts using our language.

Measure brand health honestly. Branded search trend, share of voice against a defined competitive set, sentiment, and coverage quality. You'll be accountable for a signal that moves, and you'll be expected to say plainly when it isn't moving.

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years in communications or PR, with meaningful time in enterprise B2B — either agency-side or in-house
  • Coverage you personally pitched and landed, in outlets you can name. Not "supported the programme that generated coverage"
  • Strong, fast writing in someone else's voice. Press releases, pitches, statements, briefing docs, and executive talking points that need very little from anyone else before they go out
  • Experience preparing senior executives for press, stage, and analyst conversations, including the confidence to tell a leader their answer isn't working
  • Judgment under time pressure. You've handled something sensitive and can talk through how you decided what to say
  • Comfort running agency and vendor relationships, holding them to a brief, and pushing back on work that isn't good enough
  • Numerate about your own function. You can distinguish a coverage result that changed how buyers see us from one that just looked busy

Nice to Haves

  • Fluency in the marketing, advertising, agency, or martech world our buyers live in
  • Experience taking a company from low visibility to a recognised category voice, rather than maintaining an established programme
  • Exposure to analyst relations
  • Experience running a sponsorship, awards programme, or owned event at scale
  • A long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycle in your background, and a realistic view of what communications can and cannot do inside one

How We'll Assess

Alongside conversations with the team, we'll work through a short practical exercise: a pitch for a real CreativeX announcement, and a reactive scenario where you'll need to draft a holding statement and explain your reasoning. We're interested in your judgment and your first draft, not a polished strategy presentation.
