What You'll Do
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Inventory Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data analytics, with exceptional skills in Excel capable of manipulating numbers and using pivot tables. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. You will support a team of 10+ buyers/merchants and manage a team of 2-3 inventory planners. Additionally, you will be responsible for forecasting & process improvements and approvals. This role reports directly to the VP of Merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Data Analytics:
- Analyze and manipulate large datasets to support decision-making.
- Use Excel and pivot tables extensively for data analysis.
- Utilize Big Query for advanced data crunching to improve speed and efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Support a team of 10+ buyers/merchants, providing guidance and strategic insights.
- Manage a team of inventory planners, ensuring accurate and timely inventory planning.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Forecasting and Inventory Management:
- Develop and manage forecasting models to predict inventory needs.
- Meet and review daily purchase orders (POs) with inventory planners.
- Deliver target in stock % as well target GMROI for each category/item class and company as a whole
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for forecasting & process improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee the approval processes for inventory and merchandising decisions.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the VP of Merchandising on strategic initiatives.
- Responsibilities may evolve over time; employees may be asked to take on additional duties as needed to support business priorities.
What Will Help You Thrive
- Proven experience in data analytics, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage a team of inventory planners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
- Relevant degree or experience in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- E-commerce Experience: While not required, experience in e-commerce is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: knowledge of SQL and Big Query; experience with data analysis tools.
- Additional Skills: Experience in crunching data and implementing efficient processes.
- Experience implementing Open to Buy process
This role requires three on-site days weekly to ensure in-person collaboration, improved communication, effective teamwork, and real-time problem solving to enhance team synergy and productivity. A standard 40 hour work week is expected.

Pay range for this role:
$125,000 - $140,000 USD
