Associate, ALM and Funding Strategy
We are growing our Finance team at our Norcross, GA headquarters and are looking for a highly analytical and curious professional to join us. As an Associate focused on Asset Liability Management (ALM) and funding strategy, you’ll help shape how Credigy funds its diverse consumer loan portfolio and manages the financial risks associated with those investments. You’ll work closely with teams across Credigy and our parent company, National Bank of Canada (NBC), to evaluate funding strategies, analyze interest-rate risk, and support strategic financial decisions across the business. If you enjoy understanding macroeconomic factors, including how interest rates affect consumer loan behavior, this role offers an opportunity to deepen expertise at the intersection of investments, finance, and financial risk management.
Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
About the Role
Credigy invests across a wide range of consumer-related asset classes. As an Associate on the finance team, you’ll develop a detailed understanding of those investments and evaluate how their expected cash flows interact with the funding used to finance them. You’ll also work with our Investments team to evaluate new opportunities, identify potential funding risks, and help develop appropriate interest rate risk management strategies. You’ll broaden and deepen expertise across Credigy’s investment portfolio, financial markets, and funding activities while gaining exposure to senior leaders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of funding strategies for new and existing investments, including analysis of tenor, structure, timing, and interest rate sensitivity.
- Partner with Investments and Credit teams during the evaluation of new transactions to identify funding risks and recommend strategies and structures to mitigate those risks.
- Assess and recommend Funding Risk Ratings for transactions based on their characteristics and associated funding risks.
- Analyze and monitor interest rate risk across the company’s balance sheet, including measures such as Economic Value of Equity (EVE), Net Interest Income (NII), Dollar Value of a Basis Point (DV01), and other ALM metrics.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate how changes in interest rates, asset performance, prepayments, and other assumptions may affect Credigy’s financial risk profile.
- Support the preparation and validation of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) analyses used to meet NBC’s reporting requirements with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).
- Develop and maintain financial models, analytical tools, and reporting used to support funding decisions.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses related to interest rates, new and existing investments, funding, and other team initiatives.
- Work closely with NBC colleagues on funding, interest rate risk, and related ALM matters.
- Prepare analyses and materials for senior management and other internal stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into clear and practical insights.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
- 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in treasury, asset-liability management, structured finance, capital markets, fixed income, financial risk management, investment analysis, or a related quantitative finance discipline.
- Working knowledge of fixed income concepts such as duration, present value, yield curves, and interest rate sensitivity.
- Strong financial and quantitative analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including developing financial models and analytical tools.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to translate quantitative analysis into practical recommendations.
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to understand the investments and financial markets in which Credigy operates.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with consumer lending, including detailed cash flow analysis.
- Familiarity with funding markets, interest rate derivatives, or liquidity risk management.
- Experience with SQL, Bloomberg, or other financial and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) software is a plus.
A Note to Applicants
If this role excites you, but you don't check every box, we encourage you to apply. Direct ALM experience is helpful but not required if you bring strong financial and analytical skills, relevant experience in treasury, structured finance, capital markets, or financial risk, and a demonstrated ability to learn complex concepts. We value curiosity, analytical thinking, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit.
The Credigy Experience
Credigy offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage through Cigna — with Credigy covering a significant portion of premiums — plus STD, LTD, and basic life insurance at no cost to you. You'll also have access to a 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, paid parental leave, volunteer time off through Credigy Cares, and a range of workplace perks designed to support how you work best, from a thoughtfully equipped office environment to the technology and tools that help you do your best work.
Beyond the benefits, you'll join a team recognized year-over-year as a Top Workplace nationally and in Atlanta, with a personalized Flex Werk program, real opportunities for career growth, and a culture built around people who are bold, curious, and supportive.
Where & How You'll Work
This role is based at Credigy’s corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA. The Finance team generally prioritizes in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional days based on role and team needs. New colleagues should expect to spend more time in the office during their first few months to accelerate onboarding and relationship-building. Within those team expectations, you'll work with your manager to build a personalized flexibility arrangement through Credigy's Flex Werk program — because we believe the best work happens when people have the support and autonomy to work in ways that work for them.
