Senior Product Designer

Hi, we are CreditBook!

At CreditBook, we're improving financial outcomes for entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Our technology empowers small and medium-sized businesses in Pakistan by enabling fast access to finance, which in turn boosts growth and improves cash flow for them.

In just 12-18 months, CreditBook secured over $11M in venture funding and scaled its technology to tens of thousands of micro-businesses. Backed by leading investors like Tiger Global and Firstminute Capital, CreditBook offers fast, accessible lending services across MENAP. Our product suite integrates seamlessly with businesses via APIs and SDKs, simplifying compliance, risk management, and capital supply.

We are keen to partner with curious individuals, passionate about solving for this problem with us. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply today!

How you’ll make an impact

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be the driving force behind UI/UX decisions, shaping the user experience and interface design for our suite of internal and external products. You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, in line with the product roadmap, to deliver visually-appealing, elegant design solutions that serve user needs. Specifically, the role covers the below responsibilities:

  • User Analysis: soliciting and understanding user personas and feedback to identify needs and iterate on designs.
  • Hands-on UI/UX Design: developing wireframes, high-fidelity design solutions and interactive prototypes in line with brand guidelines.
  • Strategic Thinking: taking broad, conceptual ideas and figuring out how to turn them into something useful and what to build to serve the business direction.
  • Communication and Clear Documentation : communicate closely with product, engineering and other designers to ensure alignment with product requirements and engineering implementation. Document design development for consistency across the team.
  • Drive Autonomous Improvements: proactively researching and staying on top of global best practices and learnings to continually improve CreditBook’s Design function.

What we’d love to see

  • Expertise equivalent to at least 3-4 years of relevant end-to-end UI/UX experience, ideally in taking products from 0 to 1. Experience in fintech and/or in the B2B space would offer a strong edge.
Note: more than strictly the number of years of experience, we would like to review a compelling portfolio that demonstrated your design process including, for example, any prototypes, wireframes and finished designs.
  • Structured, autonomous thinking and problem-solving with a clear grasp on logic and UI thinking.
  • Strong communication to clearly articulate design decisions and a strong design point-of-view, and to debate opposing opinions.
  • Comfort with prototyping tools — experience in using Figma is preferred
  • Comfort with data-driven insights, using dashboards to derive strategy
  • Experience participating in design research, design sprints & ideation sessions.
  • Experience working from and contributing to established design systems / design language.
