Pay Range: $101,207.00 - $126,456.00

General Purpose of the Position

Provides Project Management methodologies and discipline for organizational initiatives, strategies, processes, and procedures through management of business and technical teams, collaborating with other stakeholders, and coordinating with vendor partners in support of business unit and member service needs. The Project Manager will work with all areas of the business to develop detailed requirements, implementation plans, communication strategies, and other items necessary to deliver high quality projects. This position will interact and lead staff from all areas of the organization. The role will enable the delivery of high-quality projects that align with the organization’s strategic priorities, requiring establishment and management of expectations within business and technical teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes the following).  May perform other duties as requested or assigned.

  • Manages complex, high-impact organizational projects through the entire project lifecycle and according to project management standards and best practices. Ensures projects are completed within established scope, schedule and budget utilizing cross-functional communication and collaboration, requirements definition and delivery, financial analysis, risk management planning, budget management and change control.
  • Resolves high level conflicts by making broad decisions or negotiating with affected stakeholders. Defines and directs activities of project teams to enable appropriate subject matter expertise and project resource requirements.
  • Utilizes excellent written and verbal skills to communicate on-going status updates and feedback to team members, stakeholders and senior management team. Develops reports based on project metrics for stakeholders, organizational leaders, and others as needed.
  • Manages vendor relationships related to the definition project requirements, ongoing implementation efforts, and escalations necessary to deliver successful projects.
  • Helps build organizational competence and teamwork to support and deliver strategic projects, products, and services. Works with business leaders to define, prioritize, communicate, and achieve strategic projects tied to organizational goals. Aligns all project work with membership needs, organizational strategic areas of focus, and credit union core competencies.
  • Collaborates with credit union staff to stay abreast on innovative technologies necessary to deliver high quality projects while meeting organizational expectations. Continuously evaluates and recommends new project management methods. Regularly monitors and analyzes industry news related to key accounts, assesses the impact to our strategic plan and appropriately communicates opportunities, challenges and course-corrections.
  • Provides input to Strategic Operations leadership regarding the credit union’s project portfolio, to ensure proper alignment with organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a service-oriented mindset focusing on member service, member experience and creating partnerships within Credit Union.
  • Assist in performance management of team members by training and coaching project responsibilities, impact of individual work, and the overall project management discipline.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC. Adheres to all regulatory requirements, both within the credit union industry and in general. Maintain an understanding of regulations and other external drivers that may affect the organization.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti Money Laundering Act, including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in project management, business, or a related field, or equivalent in related work experience.  Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in project management, business analysis, and/or continual service improvement.  Experience with software implementations and support; system conversions experience a plus.  Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.  Project Management Professional (PMP) required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

General knowledge of current technologies and products used in Fintech industry.

Expertise in:

               Project management methodologies - Software Development Lifecycle, Agile/Scrum

               Microsoft Office products, including Visio

               Project management information systems (Workfront, MS Project preferred)

Additional knowledge of the following a plus:

               Project Portfolio Management

               Business Analysis

               Vendor Management

               Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning

               IT Frameworks (ITIL, ISO 20000)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to sit for long periods.  The employee continually is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop and reach with hands and arms.
