Quality Assurance Supervisor
Position Summary
Crescent Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible to ensure that Production / Operational processes meet / comply with applicable Safety, Quality, Regulatory & Customer standards in a Regulated cGMP Environment.
The Quality Supervisor will work with Cross Functional Leaders and staff to monitor the Crescent Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure routine quality inspection activities and the manufacture of top-quality, conforming product (against customer specifications). The Quality Supervisor is responsible for measuring, monitoring and reporting Quality KPIs and trends while supporting investigations for outages and nonconformances and driving necessary corrective / preventative actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
- Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing It Safe.
- Ensure Safe and well-maintained Work Environment and conditions throughout all work spaces, facility and surrounding areas.
- Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and initiatives and champion and engage all staff and employees in cultivating and promoting a Safety-First Culture.
Quality
- Support auditing compliance to Crescent QMS to ensure Quality Programs and Systems are intact and meet Regulatory and Customer requirements.
- Support all applicable internal & external (third party, customer and Regulatory) Quality audits and visits.
- Measure, monitor and report Quality KPIs (Process Accuracy).
- Participate as an active member of the Project Start Up Team to ensure Quality considerations and Design Quality have been implemented prior to new project start.
- Create and manage new production specifications and requirements and train staff to ensure top quality (in specification) quality production and QA inspection.
- Facilitate shift change meetings and report site nonconformance’s and lead investigations as necessary.
- Manage Departmental staff and monitor data and productivity of staff, improving team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities driving Quality CI initiatives.
- Perform batch record review and batch release as required.
- Take part in CAPA investigations resulting from Customer Complaints
Productivity
- Support Cross Functional Teams to manage and prioritize Quality staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
- Support and review material and workflow processes to ensure Design Quality and maximize production efficiencies.

- Identify, drive and support all Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
- All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the identification and training of an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Key Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence.

Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Fast paced environment, requiring Quality Supervisor to adapt to constant changes in schedules, volumes, staffing and shift requirements.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years Quality experience (related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Regulatory cGMP manufacturing experience
- HACCP Certification
- Experience with ERP / MRP Systems
- Experience leading teams or projects strongly desired
- Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Process Excellence experience
- Regulatory knowledge and application for product categories of food, cosmetic, and OTC Drug
